The arithmetic is really pretty simple. We have about 12 million illegal aliens in the country. We have decided to fund 400,000-500,000 deportations per year. The Obama administration chose to focus on violent felons. The Trump administration would rather focus on people who work hard and stay out of trouble.

When did the non DACA deportations stop ?

They have already assimilate into US society not sure it would be hard for them in Canada.

Try to remember, DACA kids were brought to the US by their parents seeking a better life. They went to US schools, learned English, most don't even know their native countries language.. they didn't have a choice when brought to the USA.

I understand what DACA is about just don't want to see the effected population make the same mistake their parents made.

I can see the U.S. repealing the DACA program going forward and make a set of criteria to fit the effected population retroactively, the populace in between fall through the cracks

Several thousand DACA applicants have already served in the military with many more on the way. If Congress decided to enact legislation that would legally void that program completely, it will mean the exile of a great many veterans and current military personnel. It will be very interesting to see how they approach this matter. My own feeling is that Congress will exercise restraint owing to the fact that thousands of vets, military personnel, and medical students/practitioners among others will invoke the legal doctrine of substantive and procedural due process (14th Amendment considerations). This will likely tie up the federal courts for years if not decades as this matter must be decided on a case by case basis.

This is a red herring. The U.S. has other legislation that allows permanent residency and fast track to citizenship for service and honourable discharge from the U.S. military.

Yup. By service I take it you mean active duty... which there is a fast track for them.

That will be conveniently ignored.
It has been since he started, just two months into his term. In its first 15 months, the Turdeau govt issued more deportation orders than all the previous federal govts combined over the last 30 years. Many of those who were deported arrived in Canada under the same circumstances as Maryann Monsef but Monsef is not only allowed to remain, she gets to keep her cushy, Turdeau appointed cabinet position.

Canadian News Outlets are indeed saying that Canada isn't that welcoming. It is easy to welcome everyone when you know they won't come. But now that they are Trudeau is doing his best to stop the flood.

You mean like Trudeau and his record level deportations despite his protestations that a Canadian is a Canadian is a Canadian?

And yet none of the conservatives here will give him credit for his record level of deportations. That's why there's no point in him trying to please y'all.

Yes, because govt's only work on one problem at a time.

Because it's WHO is being deported and WHO isn't being deported that's the problem. Kids who arrived here with parents that lied on their entry documents are being turfed. Except Maryann Monsef of course.
Adults who are known terrorists or terrorist supporters are being permitted to remain. See the problem? Like the bitch ISIS supporter from Canadian Tire. She refuses to submit to Canadian law, has expressed that feeling more than once and what's the govt doing? Sending her for f*cking psychiatric evaluation instead of firing her manky ass back to the shit-hole from which she crawled out.
Oh, but mommy or daddy lied on your entry documents 30 years ago? Yer OUTTA HERE!!

You will always come up with an excuse to hate Trudeaubama. No matter what he does.

Kick em all out. America is a country of law and order, that's the reason everybody wants to live there.
If these DACA like America to be lawless, send them to Mexico, they will like the lawless there.

They can reapply to get back in after being out for a period of time.

Maybe we could ship Durry to Mars. There'd be no pesky foreigners for him to encounter there. It would be bliss.

I doubt the Martians would let him on the planet.

Any life on Mars isn't developed enough to even counter the likes of Durry. Tells you something, doesn't it.
I'm sure Durry would be saddened to learn that he'd have no intelligent life to kick off the planet or enslave. But at least no pesky foreigners.
