Car Plows into Counter-Protesters at White Nationalist Rally, Leaving 1 Dead and at Least 26 Hospitalized

Car Plows into Crowd at White Nationalist Rally: Reports

Trump's comments were lukewarm at best for this form of domestic terrorism. but then it is his base that is involved here.Spoke people from this violence made it clear it was them that helped get TRump into office.

The US seems to be on edge now. This is being reinforced by TrTrump's bellicose and bully talk.( which seems to be his 'norm". Extremism of various colors is emerging more emphatically.

soooo is America getting "great" again?? and by what standards??

Yes, You Can Blame Donald Trump For the White Supremacist March in Charlottesville

Trump is paying lip service to "stopping the hate", but given he is the one who stoked it in the first place, his words mean nothing. This is Trump's America, and today we saw what that really means.

“We are determined to take our country back,” said former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke at the “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia today. “We are going to fulfill the promises of Donald Trump. That’s what we believed in, that’s why we voted for Donald Trump. Because he said he’s going to take our country back. That’s what we gotta do.”
Later on, a motorist plowed their car into a crowd of anti-fascist protesters injuring 19 and killing at 32 year old woman -- presumably in the name of "taking their country back".
To African Americans and minorities, the history of the United States is one of brutal subjugation, enslavement and persecution. White supremacy is as American as apple pie, and those who claim otherwise have never walked a day in the shoes of someone not white. Over time, the worst instincts of white supremacy have been held at bay, and 21st century America is more tolerant, more integrated and more progressive than it has ever been. But the racism lays dormant, ready to be woken upon provocation and directed at those least able to defend themselves.

David Duke, a bigoted moron who resorted to plastic surgery to give himself a proper White profile. Apparently "taking our country back" refers returning to the glory days of lynching Blacks and beating up Jews.

and this group is part of the Trump voters and supporters. It actually makes sense. in a bizarre kind of way. Interesting segment of the US population that supports him so fanatically. They must see something of themselves in him.

Im not sure what racism you guys are referring too, because racism has been wiped out for a long time, why are people still protesting racism for? Multiculturalism has been introduced a long time ago. This must be a huge misunderstanding.

There is major effort being expended by the White House to foil these investigations and it may take a few of them to break through to something resembling the truth about Trump and the Russians.
Indeed. Which implies OBSTRUCTION of JUSTICE and that Trump has something to hide. He really does not want this to proceed. If he tries to fire Meuller......... that is definitely obstruction of justice and a sign of guilt

The only question hat remains is : guilt of what in terms of specifics. His shady business dealings are being looked at as well. This is NOT making him happy and he might do something erratic to shield them from scrutiny. He has a lifetime hisrtory of gettinw away with unethical conduct and might belief he is untouchable

Ah, but the US boast was always about the "melting pot" with every immigrant turning into a cooky cutter American. The Americans have never been keen on multiculturalism. And in any case you are confusing White racism in the US South which has never really gone away despite the US Civil War ending more than 150 years ago.

The United Staes was born of violence and slavery and they've never been able to quite shake off either.

If Trump goes down, Pence will too

Perhaps they should have another vote...only this time to see how many want Trump and gang removed from office.

Leadership via dissing everyone off with belligerent language is not the most effective leadership tactic.

the bully diplomacy is causing big issues that were not even there.........and accentuating those that are there.

His first domestic act of terrorism was so poorly dealt with it is shameful. He is so terrified of offending his "base".........KKK white supremacists ,& other assorted
extremists............that he comes off looking as if he supports them.

We will. In three years and three months.

That's not important. What's important is that MILEY CYRUS WAS A NO-SHOW AT THE TEEN CHOICE AWARDS!

Let's get our priorities in order, people!

I'm starting to wonder if in a number of years after Trump's tenure draws to a close, if someone will have a book to write! :)

If the toothless hillbillies that support Trump win, no one will be able to read a book by then.
