'It is just too much': Lucifer heat wave stifles parts of Europe

Extreme heat has fuelled wildfires, damaged crops, and strained energy and water supplies

A relentless heat wave gripping parts of Europe this week has sent temperatures soaring to record highs for several days, causing at least two deaths and prompting authorities to issue severe weather warnings.

The heat wave has been dubbed Lucifer.

"It is just too much," real estate agent Sasa Jovanovic, 52, said during an early-morning walk in the Serbian capital of Belgrade, where it was forecast to hit 39 C Saturday. "Sometimes it feels as if I cannot breathe."

The extreme heat stifling Serbia, Romania, Croatia and parts of Spain, France and Italy has fuelled wildfires, damaged crops, and strained energy and water supplies. Authorities in some areas issued traffic restrictions and banned outdoor work during the hottest part of the day.

Spain's national weather service on Saturday issued an emergency warning for high temperatures in 31 of the country's 50 provinces as forecasts predicted temperatures of up to 44 C.

Romanian meteorologists issued an extreme temperatures warning, with 42 C forecast for parts of western Romania and placing 12 counties under a Red Code heat alert for the next two days. Western and northern Europe, in contrast, was experiencing colder and wetter weather.

Although southern Europe is used to scorching summers, meteorologists have warned that hot spells lasting several days aren't that common.

The public health institute in Belgrade issued heat instructions, telling people to keep wet towels on windows if there is no air conditioning, and avoid physical strain and alcohol.

Thousands of residents sought refuge from the heat at the city's recreation area, swimming in the local lake and the Danube or the Sava rivers. Some of those who ventured to the city centre dipped their feet or wet their hair in the fountains.

If only there was something that we, as individuals, could do to stem this horrible tide of global warming.

But there is !

Wait for the cold snap.

Then, global warming becomes 'climate change',
'weather for 3 days', becomes 'changing patterns'.

See ? Global Warming.. is gone !

And every time a lefty posts a heat wave to describe the earth heating up,
they have to change it to 'climate change makes extremes of weather worse and worse'.
And they run away when someone starts top post the Antarctic sheet getting bigger and bigger.
Did we get the ice free North Pole yet ? It's 4 years late.

Italian media says worst drought for 60 years. So just remember:
59 years ago, it was worse.

Was it global warming the froze European crops late in the spring?

Was that not a bigger issue than summer weather?

Drought in South SK too. First in 30 years when they said the ending drought of the 80s would be a way of life because of AGW.

'It is just too much': Lucifer heat wave stifles parts of Europe

Lucifer has no power over nature and natural factors; his power is only the suggestion of evil and corruption; man is not obliged to follow him, but Lucifer and his devils suggest to man: the disbeliever accepts his suggestion because he likes them, and the believer may refuse his suggestions because he is alert to such suggestions.

So when Lucifer (Satan) will go to Hell on Doomsday, the disbelievers (also in Hell) will blame him and he will say to them, as in the Quran 14: 22

{I had no authority over you [so as to compel you], but only that I invited you [by suggesting and deceiving] and you responded to me [according to your bad choice.]}

Although such name has been chosen by people for the heat wave overwhelming Europe .. so what would they say if they come to Iraq where the temperature has been above 50 centigrade for about 2 weeks or more .. many Europeans may die if they face such high temperatures. :D

People looking for relief from the heat in countries like France, Spain and Italy grappled for just the right name for the phenomenon — and settled on “Lucifer.”

The "Angel of Mons" has abandoned Europe, leaving "Lucifer" alone to expel his bad breadth over Europe.

Just like when the "Glow" of God left the Hagia Sofia..

One day you will figure out that climate change = climate change. I expect that since you only react to the latest weather info you have completely forgotten that much of Saskatchewan and Alberta was rained out in 2016. In fact it rained in Edmonton for the first two weeks of November instead of the usual snow.
