Who in their right mind actually thought giving tax breaks to the rich was a good idea?

Early 1500s...................it took months or even years to traverse it. It had mountains that were arduous to climb and rivers that were formidable and dangerous to cross, not to mention many other encumbrances. :) :)

She's well intentioned. I'm sure the poor will forgive her as they work under the table.

So what's you saying is the poor are criminals and work under the table, just because they are poor.

You suck cock..

No. I'm saying Wynne will force tough choices on them. Either work under the table or leave the province or apply for social assistance.

Yes we need to help the poor, but this is not the way to do it.

By putting more money in the pockets of the poor with higher minimum wages is not the way to help the poor?

Boosting the economy from the bottom up and allowing people to afford more, buy more and spend more, you're saying won't help the poor or the economy..

Give your head a shake.

Boost the Minimum Wage, Boost the Economy, from the bottom up

"People at the bottom of the income spectrum spend all the money they have, and more. Increase their pay, they spend more money, raise demand, boost the economy. Employers don’t create jobs; consumers do."

Enough with the tax break for the rich 1%.. time to grow the economy from the Bottom UP!!

When you go to fill up your truck, do you consistently head to a location that is more expensive for fuel?

Wrong.

Consumers cause the demand for more jobs... Employers create those jobs to satisfy the demand

Exactly. Of course we need to help the poor, but raising the minimum wage is not the way to do it.

You should be happy, they pay more into CCP and secure your future leaching off the Gov't after 62 yrs old.

You didn't answer the question

No I don't because I would burn up my savings in fuel to save $3 to $5.

Remember I get 6.7 mpg.. I go 20 miles out of my way for cheaper fuel, I have to come back.. that's 40 miles.. where was the savings? I just spent $16.80 getting that cheaper fuel.

Also cheaper fuel usually is bad fuel, it'll cost me in repairs down the road.. ;)

Consumers cause the demand for more jobs... Employers create those jobs to satisfy the demand

Without the consumers, there would be no jobs..

Do you setup a business in an area where they have no consumers?? If so, you're a lousy business person, and probably bankrupt.

You make one helluva argument to support your position.

Should I have used the purple font here?

No I don't because I would burn up my savings in fuel to save $3 to $5.

So, without exception in every case, the cheapest filling stations are 10-15 miles away?

How about the most expensive stations, I take it that you are forced to go there due to the great expanse of distance, eh?

Without the consumers, there would be no jobs..

... And without jobs, there would be no disposable income with which the consumer could spend their disposable income.

Thanks for playing which-came-first-chicken-or-egg

ah, yes.

Because on the truck routes the corporate chains like Loves, Flying J, Petro have raised their fuel by a few cents, to get savings you have to go out of your way..

Easy the consumer.. again with out the consumer.. there is no need to sell or trade.. is there?

If we grew our own food, and made our own clothes, made our own tools.. which we did back in the day, was their a need for a store?

I have a Samsung Galaxy J1. Some might see that as a cheap phone, but it serves my purposes just fine.
