It's not going to bring oil prices back up.

Wind turbine shot multiple times with high-powered rifle in southern Alberta

Someone caused $25,000 in damage to a wind turbine on the Piikani First Nation in southern Alberta by shooting it multiple times with a high-powered rifle, according to police.

Piikani RCMP asked the public for help Monday in identifying the culprit.

They said a technician discovered bullet holes while doing service on the Weather Dancer wind turbine on June 12.

The turbine is believed to have been shot sometime between April 18 and May 31.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to contact the Piikani RCMP at 403-965-2000 or contact Crime Stoppers anonymously by phone at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.tipsubmit.com.

Piikani is about 200 kilometres south of Calgary.

In February, RCMP said someone shot a different wind turbine at a nearby TransAlta generating site, just south of Fort Macleod.

My first guess would be the home owner next door who was sick and tired of hearing the constant whizzing of the turban every night as he tried to sleep.

Still confused who?

So if someone commits a robbery in my home, that means that proves that someone living in my home committed the robbery?

If they were shooting at the tip of the blades, id say that was some pretty fine shooting.
