And how did CBS and NBC get a name? They didn't choose one at random. Somebody close to the investigation must have provided it. Perhaps Rudd should look in the mirror.

BBC security correspondent Gordon Corera says UK officials believe that US law enforcement rather than the White House is the likely culprit for the leaks.

A Whitehall source described the second US leak as "on another level", and said it had caused "disbelief and astonishment" across the British government.

What the Brits are saying is, despite due dilgence on their part, the US released sensitive information. I do not take this at face value. Further information must surface.

It suggests to me that someone within the British police dept or MI5 messed up and us looking for a way out.

Something smells, and it isn't the US. More info required.

It will be interesting to see if this story gets legs or simply peters out.

Well we may never know who the leaker is but the British are certainly Tabloid excessive so complaining about pictures being insensitive is interesting since the Brits need pics because of their reading comprehension impairment. But the fingers are pointing to the US. Could have been some low level employee who saw the info.....

Before the crime scene photos were published, the UK Government had issued a warning to American authorities not to reveal details of the terror investigation.

Home Secretary Amber Rudd had said she was "irritated" by the early release of the bomber's name and said she had made it "very clear" to US counterparts that no further leaks should occur.

"These images leaked from inside the US system will be distressing for victims, their families and the wider public.

"The issue is being raised at every relevant level by the British authorities with their US counterparts."

There is more here than meets the eye.

Something of this nature would not be handled so sloppily by either party. I think that we'll have to wait and see how this plays out. There's always a reason for everything.

Has anybody blamed the Jews for this yet?

I blame the Jews.

If I was investigating an information leak, my first stop would be the Manchester police. They would have been one of the first responders and initially controlled the situation.

In the first few hours, it is reasonable to expect that the scene was confused and no official information lockdown would have occurred.

Police and private cameras would have been snapping away unchecked before the intel people got involved and took control.

Too many unanswered questions.

The leak story aside, not much to report. A few arrests, but no informative releases and some raids. The forensics people will have their work cut out.

Well, well, well, the guy fought under the table for the Brits against gahdaffi in Libya, and his neighbors were trying to warn the authorities for YEARS, and the authorities ignored them.

The template of a whole bunch of other KNOWN false flags

"Manchester Bomber Repeatedly Reported to Authorities over Five Year Period

The police and security services missed at least five opportunities over five years to stop Salman Abedi from carrying out his deadly terror attack, it has emerged."
Manchester Bomber Was Repeatedly Reported to Authorities Over Five Years

Just more proof the whole government anti terror effort is aimed at the PEOPLE not the terrorists

Vancouver model misidentified as Manchester bomber's sister

A Vancouver model has set the record straight after mistakenly being linked to the Manchester, England, bombing at an Ariana Grande concert this week.
Janice Joostema spoke to Global News BC to explain how she was incorrectly identified by two Italian newspapers as the sister of the suicide bomber. As a result, Joostema has received a number of messages from strangers asking about her involvement.
“When I first found out about it I started actually reading all the messages I received,” Joostema told Global. “[They were from people] saying ‘this is what’s going on’ and ‘are you the terrorist?’
"People who don’t know me but, of course, the people who do know me know it’s not me of course,” she said.
Joostema said the newspapers didn't look into her or who she is before posting her photos on their website. The photos have since been removed and Joostema is considering legal action, Global reports.
According to The Independent, another model has also been incorrectly identified as the suspect Salman Abedi's sister.
Maya Ahmad is a popular Lebanese makeup artist whose photo, along with Joostema's, had been posted by Abedi's sister Jomana Abedi on her own Facebook page. Those photos were then pulled off her Facebook page and featured in various news stories before the error was pointed out.
Joostema is a 22-year-old Vancouver-born and raised model of Fijian and Dutch descent. She has 1.2 million followers on Instagram and has a YouTube channel, devoted to fashion.
The blast, following pop star Grande's Monday night show has killed at least 22 people, including an eight-year-old girl.
