BBC NEWS | Americas | OJ Simpson sentenced to 15 years

Describing Simpson, 61, as arrogant and ignorant, District Judge Jackie Glass said the evidence was overwhelming.
Simpson made an emotional appeal prior to sentencing at the Las Vegas court, saying he was "sorry" and "confused".
His accomplice, Clarence Stewart, was also sentenced to 15 years. Both men were convicted in October.
They were found guilty on 12 charges relating to the robbery and holding of the memorabilia dealers at Las Vegas' Palace Station hotel in September 2007.

Good riddance.

I'm sure there will be an appeal, and the murderer will be out on the street.

The man is the lowest type of scum in existance, a waste of space, a piece of crap, should I go on???

That should keep him out of mischief for awhile. Partial payback for what he missed out on in '95.

Maybe he'll be able to find his ex-wife's killer in prison since he couldn't find him on the golf course.

He'll be 70 this year. I saw him in some court hearing a couple of years ago and he seemed like a shell of his former self, a hollowed out, arthritic old man.

He has a decent pension from the NFL ($300K/yr.) that can't be touched by lawsuits and in all honesty most observers think his sentence was completely disproportionate to the crime he was convicted of, which was probably worth 2 years soaking wet. He was sentenced for brutally murdering two people for which he was acquitted by a jury, however unfairly.

I think he's harmless to society. Release him and let God deal with the vengeance part.

Perhaps the victim's families should get to decide!

Pretty obvious a revenge sentence. Tough to have any sympathy for him though.
