Accepting that money, religion, politics or patriotism offers an answer to human suffering, is the mind set of complacency. None of these things in and of themselves have ever eliminated suffering. The Heyoka reality TV show going on non-stop down south reveals this in amazing clarity. The Donald show in all its naked absurdity, allows all to see the great failures of such ideas and definitions of reality. No doubt some of us held these things dear, maybe even as sacred. Donald Trump has been a god send for some of us if seen from the right place. He reveals the truth behind the facade of belief.
This orange haired Heyoka, shows us that the most powerful, the richest, the most famous, have found no end to their suffering anymore than anyone else has. Having gathered all these things over a life time, made them central to ones imagined well being, and yet to still experience great suffering, obviously means all of it was a complete waste of time, a sad gilded lie. If we survive his crazy Heyoka dance, he may well end up as one of our greatest teachers, as many other infamous people in history have. We learn a lot from the worst of us it seems.
Lest we forget that the Trump dismantling and pillaging of some of the things that were positive about America, is not the only shocking, tragic, reality TV show going on. While we are mesmerized by our sacred clown, a peculiar Heyoka of sorts for some of us, the great suffering of billions of innocent beings goes on unabated. - Chris Waller
(The heyoka (heyókȟa, also spelled "haokah," "heyokha") is a kind of sacred clown in the culture of the Lakota people of the Great Plains of North America. The heyoka is a contrarian, jester, and satirist, who speaks, moves and reacts in an opposite fashion to the people around them.)
