Carbon pricing pushes gas prices higher in Ontario, Alberta

So the saviour of Alberta, the oil & gas industry, has pushed gasoline prices up 25 cents a liter in the last six weeks, and now the latest four cents a liter for carbon tax is deserving of moral outrage? That's just f**ked. If four bucks a tankful is going to break the bank then maybe it's time to cancel your insurance and take the bus.

If it's only 4 bucks, how about the gubmint reverse the tax and then take another 5 or 6 cents off the price of gas..... It's only a few bucks to the gubmint, right?
Depends on your definition of tax. Trumpites don't believe tariffs are taxes. Many Trudeauites call the carbon tax, carbon pricing. Both are extremely feeble attempts at managing the message

Due to lack of confidence in Trudeau and carbon taxes our dollar failed to benefit from a 30% increase in the price of oil.

Cap and trade is not technically a tax, but the effect is similar enough that in common parlance, we could call it a tax.
