Banishing drug dealers from First Nations is OK with the

chief overseeing 74 Saskatchewan Indian bands.

Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations Chief Bobby Cameron

said that if First Nations go to a referendum and vote in favour of

banishing people who are harming youth by selling illegal drugs

and alcohol, he will support that.

Some First Nations in Saskatchewan are already doing just that.

Last month, Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation’s council and elders

came to the decision to banish six non-band members from its

lands and issue “first and final warnings” to approximately 20

band members in response to a growing crystal methamphetamine

problem.

That came after the band spent more than a year trying to contain

the drug, which exploded in popularity.

When asked if banishments were something he he would like to see

happen on all of Saskatchewan’s First Nations, Cameron said it was

a good question.

“If it means getting rid of drug dealers, sure. You’re darn rights. If it

means not losing any more youth to alcohol and drugs, you bet I do,”

he said......

Blah blah blah....Yada yada yada...rest of the article at the above LINK.

So, Banish these Clowns to where? Dump them in who's back yard?

So if these folks are banished from these reservations, who gets to
take them? Think of this dumping on a provincial or national level.
would it fly?

Selling a narcotic should be treated as equivalent to manslaughter.

Unless for a valid medical reason as prescribed by at least two physicians. I say at least two to ensure a second opinion.

That's what it takes. Only specialists can Rx opiods. Family Dr's can't any longer.

Be a lot of pharmacists in prison.

I corrected too slowly. Read above.

A friend's best friend died from a heroin of just a few months ago. I'd met her last year, good person. She did suffer mental health problems I learnt later, mainly depression. Her boyfriend broke up with her and took advantage of her financially before doing so to the tune if around 20k. She took it hard, somehow ended up meeting heroin users, and started using to numb the pain. Apparently she went from non-user to dead by OD in not even a year. She left a son behind too.

Kinda funny how you want the whole system changed every time one of your friends loses. Or wins.

I know it's a douche move to quote myself, but ponder this one...

Lets say Ontario, not Misc SK Reservations, decides it's going to
just banish criminals from Ontario. Not deport them, but just push
them to the borders of Manitoba & Quebec, and not allow them to
come back to Ontario? How would that fly? What does that solve,
especially for Manitoba & Quebec?

Its not like this hasn't been done before. I've watched "Scarface"
back in the day. Castro emptied his prisons & boated their arses
off to Florida. Enjoy Florida! You're Welcome!!

What I'm getting at is this. Government workers in the downtown core somewhere
complain that they have to wade through Junkies & Hookers when they leave work
at the end of the day. Then they commute miles out to the suburbs...

So the Hookers & Junkies get pushed over 15 blocks and up 8 blocks, and now
hang out around a public park and a schoolyard in the evening and through the
nights. Problem solved! Done Deal! Unless of coarse you live over 15 blocks
and up 8 blocks from that downtown core
, and your kids go to that school, and
play in that park, etc....

If you're going to Banish someone, you put them on a boat with seven bananas
and no paddle, tow them out to sea with one of Canada's diesel powered Subs
(if it's working that week), and turn them loose 'NOT' on someone else's door
step. Keep the paddles from the boat on the submarine in the event that the
sub needs help getting back to shore. That's Banishment, and not pushing the
problem off onto someone else.
