Well, let's agree to disagree!
I don't just believe in the word in the air unless I read upon that. And NASA (which I presume is a reliable source) has it on their website Climate Change: Vital Signs of the Planet: Evidence and I'd be happy to believe them.

Even if we don't see a significant change right now, the only thing we are asked to do is be a little friendly towards the environment.

See now there is the problem. The globull warming believers are much like chicken little. They flat out lie to get converts when what they are really after is a massive transfer of wealth from us to third world countries. Getting people to pick up their $h!t is really easy.Better yet cut down on needless packaging and make recycling easier.

Just caught part of a program on the Idiot Box tonight, quite interesting how the earth will quickly improve after the last human disappears from the planet. Believe me we are not doing it any good at all. Within one year there will be vast improvement, a lot of the carbon that is strangling us now will be gone. Within 30 years most of the man made structure will be in sad disrepair. All the garbage we fired out to space, about 25,000 pieces will be back in that time. All the pavement and concrete will eventually break up and return to its previous state.

Read on the news today that NASA is claiming this July was the hottest on record. I wonder how they selected the weather stations to use since it did not even come close to last year nevermind a record hereabouts.

Well, I imagine they have a bigger choice of stations ( like worldwide) than your bit of a northern country. I imagine a year or two at this rate ....you too will be remaining indoors in 90 deg heat with a high humidity most of your summer.

The over night lows also figure into the equation too.

No. Sir, it was sh-t. Winter style rain and low clouds. I have been driving to work through cloud for most of the year with the last two weeks being the exception.

NASA is not just concerned with one area but the entire globe.

What is NASA? It's geophysicists and astronomers with rockets. They aren't a weather service.

Their deal is the chemistry and physics of the universe not weather.

How old is NASA? 54-56 years old?

They deal with what they've recorded in those years.

"CLIMATE CHANGE RECORDS DON'T GO ANY FURTHER BACK THAN WHAT WAS RECORDED AT TRAIN STATIONS.

120 years. That's it.

The earth has more accurate chemical records that go back billions of years.

Billions of years of are ignored.

Why do just the last 120 years matter? Go back 158 years and it was the coldest year in the past 8000 years. 500 years ago was far warmer than today then it plummeted to that coldest point in 1858.

If we are lucky it might warm back up to what it was from the bronze age to 358 AD. Romans wore skirts in Berlin in January.

YOu don't figure they exchange information with other agencies?

Nothing in "the record" goes any further back than 1890. Most of Western US, MexicoCanada and all the way down to South America was empty.

We're the Injuns keeping statistics cuz nobody else was. What was the temperature in Calgary 150 years ago? Who the f-ck knows? There was no Calgary let alone a train station manager to record it.

Does NASA know?

Yea it never gets hot here in summer .

We had a few hot days out here on the prairies, & today should be one of them.
have central air, but didn't need to use it this year. Opened the windows in the
spring, & will close them later in the fall. Maybe 1/2 a dozen really hot days....
