Northern Ontario,
One time in a Nashville restaurant, and I was talking to my wife and some friends in Canadian french, the waitress tells me that the chef talked funny, just like me
Turns out, the chef, when he came out to meet us, because the waitress had told him about us, was Cajun from Louisiana.
BTW, he made the best Chili I've ever tasted....even though it wasn't all that hot to the taste, the top of my head was sweating.....

I go to Nashville for an annual convention and they love to hear me talk, not for my intellect but just to hear the funny sounds I make. Nashville has more fine musicians per square foot than anywhere else in the world.

Whenever I hear the BBC's Lyce Doucet, Sky News's blonde poppet Poppy Trowbridge and the Bank of England's chief scaremonger Mark Carney speak I always grin and am instantly reminded that that's the way most people on Canadian Content must speak.

Canadians don't have an accent.. it's the rest of the English speaking world that speaks these strange dialects.

In Britain you only have to go 15 miles down the road until you hear the locals speaking some strange, almost unintelligible dialect. We don't have to go abroad to experience that.

I find that Californians speak about as close to Canadian as any. Hard to pick them out of a crowd. I find it funny that the east coast Yankies have the thickest accents. They sound like they just got off the boat.

I have never once teased a Canadian about his/her accent.

I prefer to tease them about being brain-damaged, hockey-obsessed, beer-sodden lumberjacks.

Oh yes! They find it to be quite adoreable when I yell "Fukc you, Yank" in my quaint Canadian dialect. They often wonder what I'm on, aboot.

I was sat in a room in Bolton town centre on Wednesday next to a woman from Birmingham. I could hardly understand a word she was saying. It was the thickest Brummie accent I've ever head.
