Many places in the US use machines instead of pencil and paper.I DID have the basic sense to try and take a pen with me to the polling station due to my fears of an Establishment stitch-up yet, despite my best efforts, I still ended up leaving my home without a pen. It was one of those moments of absent-mindedness that we call suffer from. So when I got to St William of York Roman Catholic Primary School (which is actually full of Muslims) to partake in my democratic right I thought "Sod it" and just used the erasable stationery that the British state provided me with.
Are you not provided with stationery in America when voting?
