There were a few uncalled plays that could have ended in penalties last night but the refs didn't seem to notice or care. I don't think the head hit to Letang was much more than the Caps player trying not to hit his own player and getting Letang instead - not intentional at all. The Caps definitely found their groove last night...........hoping that they lose it again in the next game and that the Pens get theirs back.

that's possibly true concerning the skate to his head, but intent has nothing to do with it, as' most' penalties are not intentional, but careless, and sometimes just unlucky, but still penalties.

anyway, will be interesting to see if he gets suspended, maybe a game or two.

Caps figure they have a great opportunity with Letang out on a one-game suspension. Game 4 just getting underway.

At times they flew down the ice showing their much vaunted speed. At times they struggled and faltered but they never quit and in OT, the Pens secured a 3 - 1 series lead over the Capitals winning 4 - 3. Hornqvist scored the OT goal. This series is just brutal. That smack on the thumb that Ovi gave Sid was simply nasty. The Capitals played a solid game tonight but once again Matt Murray gave his team the chance to win. Now it's back to Washington for Game 5 and a chance for the Pens to sew the series up.

YEE HAW PENGUINS..............GO TEAM GO!

Had a feeling this one could go the the Caps so not too surprised at the win. They played a good hard game and Holtby was red hot in goal. Pens lose this one 3 - 1 but remain 1 game up on Washington in the series.

Game 6 just about to get underway. Pens have home advantage. Sure hope it is enough to win them the series tonight. Caps aren't going to go easy.

GO PENGUINS, GO!

I love Hockey, I always have, the speed the the art, but I can't skate, I'am a failed Canadian, we get disability pensions though, so it ain't all bad

I was a figure skater in my youth - not good enough to go anywhere but I enjoyed it anyway.

The speed of this game has me surfing on adrenaline. So fast. So quick. End to end. The Pens are on the top of their game so far. Phil scored our first goal from just outside the blue-line - beauty of a shot - Holtby had no chance and if weren't for him, the Caps would be way deeper in the hole right now.

GO PENS, GO, GO, GO!!!!!

Holy flipping jaysus..................Phil just got us another goal on a PP. ROCK ON PHIL!!!

And we just got another one!!!! It was a 4-minute PP and Hagelin just got us our 3rd goal. My Pens are rockin' the ice tonight. I love it.

Oh, oh.............Oishe just got a PP goal on us. Only up 2 now. Pens have to stand tall now.

One more period to go....................just twenty minutes between my Pens advancing or going golfing........I feel like throwing up I'm so damn nervous.

So you don't know what its like to be a non skakeing Canadian? I need help from a [eer group, the millions of Canadians who are subject to horrible abuse because they can't skate.

I could shoot though, once my rubber boots got over the center line, my stuick work was OK as well.

I could still do a couple of seasons in Toronto.

I'm sure the Leafs would value your contributions highly, DB. ;-)

Aside from a couple of forms of auto racing, hockey is the only sport I watch. The combination of skill, speed and physicality just can't be matched by any other sport.

****, ****, ****..............living up to their rep, the Caps are owning the 3rd period so far and have narrowed the gap to one goal.......to make matters worse, the Pens just got a delay of game penalty and the Caps, who scored on their last PP will have a chance to even the score.

Man, I REALLY hate that stupid over the glass delay of game penalty. They should just treat it like an icing. I understand why it was brought in but it's still a stupid reason for handing out a penalty.

Bowling (my sport) is a close second! :) :)
I'd watch bowling over most other sports.

For you maybe. lol I'm not cheering for either team, I just like playoff hockey. I'm hoping for a TB-NASH final myself.

Yep the Pens have been my team for ages. Lately they have reminded me a lot of the other team that has trouble getting through play-offs - my Riders.

It's funny. I've hated the Pens since day 1. Even as a kid I thought it was stupid to have Penguins as a name and even worse, their first arena was dubbed "The Igloo". But that's just me. I'm actually kind'a cheering for them this round because I just can't bring myself to cheer for a team located in the US capital. lol

Who spends more time on the ice than Penguins? It was when Sid was acquired by the team that I started following them and became a fan. I like their speed on the ice and when its working their control of the puck.

We're fighting our way through another PP play by the Caps after Letang boarded Oishe.......whew we made it through. This is going to sudden death OT. I really hate that 'sudden death' business - they should call it last chance or something not so, so grim.

Good on Cherry, he's in complete agreement with you about the over the glass penalty being stupid. Good idea about the glass surrounding the entire rink - makes sense to me.
