Yeeeeeeeah right. She has been without TV and literature her whole life. Even in the deepest darkest most distant Siberian gulag they have Playboy magazines but she is 100% clueless of the world.

I doubt very much that they lived like that. I'm sure that it is a hard thing for you to wrap your mind around but I grew up in a household that did not have Playboy Magazines in it. Not everybody is cynical and jaded. Most are not.

It would be nice if the govt didn't make silly see through promises, that only morons believed.

So do I, it would be nice if they stopped trying to build cultural ghettos and multi tiered healthcare systems in conjunction though.

It's a possibility. Especially when you don't require the mass influx of new comers to integrate, and take steps to ensure the creation of cultural ghettos, as the Liberals are doing.

We need another Africville. It worked great the first time.

Why do we let them "not fit in"?

Couldn't we offer incentives for them to fit in? low interest loans for starting up a business, or going to school?

Maybe we need neighbourhood houses where people of the community can learn about, find info on, get help, etc? I use to volunteer at a neighbourhood house in Esquimalt. It was there to help everyone in the community with a food cupboard for those who needed food. Clothing cupboard for those who needed clothing. Resource information and contact details. It was amazing and I saw quite the diverse crowd taking advantage of the things being offered.

Maybe we need these again? It's hard to fit into a society if you feel like an outsider...

So remarkable. We rushed a bunch of people here who already had a place to live in many cases. And we managed to import the same number in 4 months that we usually do over the course of an entire year. Naturally we can assume they were all properly vetted during the Libtard's rush to make themselves look good.

Funny how they were supposed to be an economic boon to us and yet how many are illiterate? How many have zero working knowledge of either language? How many are completely unskilled when it comes to employment prospects? Wayyyyy too many to be a benefit to anyone but those pandering to the immigrant vote.
The ones who get jobs training these people will be looking for another group just as big when this first group is 'trained'/

A single mother and two infant children in the second or third richest community in Canada does not add up to and Africville, or an Edmonchuck or any other such ghetto.

Why do we let them "not fit in"?
Because Liberal progs think it makes them look all cool and enlightened.

Couldn't we offer incentives for them to fit in? low interest loans for starting up a business, or going to school?
They get that. But they can do it all in their mother tongue.

It's hard to fit into a society if you feel like an outsider...
Of course it is. But you're easier to target with propaganda and it's easier to keep you in your own ghettoes, when you can't integrate. Liberal progs love that.

We could burn down a refugee center or two just to let them know how welcome they are. That is being done already with mixed results.

How about 'we' make those loans available to the people already on welfare or ei and they can start the businesses and the refugees take over the welfare spots and they learn the system via their dealings with govt red tape.

The hard rocks could given the worst tasks. Who is going to tell the Indians they are still the terrorists in the land and these former ISIS members deserve all the perks?

Who knew 2015/12/31 would come so quickly.

What should Canada have done differently?

Should we have left them all in Europe and left them to deal with them all?

Canadian gov't does have to consider what NOT doing this would look like on the world stage.

Actually, let in the 25K without the fanfare of the 12/31 timeline ... sort of like Steve's plan.

Of course they reached their revised revised target. Deadlines and principles for liberal progs, have the consistency of warm jello.

It is a Liberal promise. One should never really actually expect them to be accurate or truthful. They aren't called Lieberals for nothing.

Give then 3 sq mi of land and an ad in the 'war grooms dating service' and the offers may come rolling in. Wilderness areas beside the train tracks and running water is always a 'popular spot'. Perhaps there should be rent incentives for a minority to move into a 'community' as the 'first contact' and over the generations both sides lean the pros and cons of living side by side. (to the extent there is a common language due to an ice age forcing more people to live together in crowded conditions and still thrive)

Where did your people come from? Most of us on here are descended from immigrants. Tell us your story if you are so distainful of someone else's?

Unfortunately, that's gov't. It doesn't matter which the political stripe, politics taints everything into lies, one overs, under hands, closed doors, etc.

It doesn't seem to be the people, per se, but the system that's set up for this.

If stuck in such a predicament, her life sure as sh-t isn't in danger.

Depends on the mood of her male relatives.

A remarkable achievement.

25,000th Syrian refugee lands in Canada

A plane touched down in Montreal on Saturday night carrying the 25,000th Syrian refugee to arrive in Canada since November.

It marks the end of the first phase of the resettlement program launched by the Liberal government shortly after taking office.

There was little fanfare on Saturday to mark the milestone, but Immigration Minister John McCallum is scheduled to give an update about the resettlement program in Toronto on Monday.

McCallum is expected to outline what actions the program will take in the future.

Officials with Citizenship and Immigration Canada had anticipated reaching the milestone at some point over the weekend, but were unclear exactly when given uncertainty about how many refugees board each flight.

Reaching the 25,000-figure represents an important step for the Liberal government, which made an election promise of resettling that many people fleeing the civil war in Syria.

The Liberals had initially promised to reach the goal by the end of 2015, but that was pushed to the end of February once they took power.

Of the 25,000 who have now arrived, more than half will have their costs covered by the government in their first year, with the rest supported by private groups or a mix of the two.

In the coming days, the new group of arrivals will spread to eight different provinces, joining those who've arrived in Canada since the government launched their Syrian refugee plan in November.

Two months late. But hey whose's counting. The fact that the Liberals actually kept a promise is amazing in itself.

Any ideas on when he is going to keep some of the promises made to Canadians? You know, the people that are footing the bill for trudOWE's global wealth redistribution.
