53 Islamic clerics signed an online petition to start a jihad against the Syrian government, Russia and Iran-adding that these countries pose a threat to Sunni world. They went as far as to say the Russian campaign is a Christian orthodox crusade.

There is a good reason that Saudi is all talk and no action. Had Putin have said it it would become a fact within a few days. All hot air, even their own military advisers say it would be a grave mistake to get directly involved in Syria. Russia no sends a fighter to 'escort' all NATO planes while in Syrian air-space so the targeting civilian places or Assad forces will pretty much end except for missile hits.
