I haven't really said much negative about Trudeau since he was elected ,
but his campaigning for the provincial liberals was a bit much .
Most national party leaders have shied away from provincial politics in my life time .

No surprise. The Liberals havent held that seat in decades. You can't lose what you never had.

The big lose will probably be during the next election. But even then who knows. I dont know how they managed to win the last two.

Everybody in the country will be better off if he's successful! So far I'm not very encouraged.

Ooooo the Libs lost a by-election. Wonder if Wynne is going to cut and run like her predecessor did when he lost the last by-election.

That escapade was just over confidence. Trudeau thinks he sooooooooo popular he can win anybody over with his goofy smirk/sneer/ smile.
Haha! It didn't work, did it?

Trudeau's backed up on the deficit promise, the environment goals, and is rethinking the pipeline controversy, prediction is that he'll have to back up on his plan to befriend the First Nations. He's already put restored mail delivery away, pot legalization somewhere in the dim future.
That's what happens when you make promises without researching first to see what the possibilities are like in the real world!
Is the honeymoon almost over? Will he soon be sleeping alone?

I haven't seen Canada so confused and without direction like this ever. In my 36 years of life.

I don't see this as a big deal any way you look at it for several reasons:
  • bi-elections are cared about by almost nobody. Probably lucky to have 40% voter turnout (usually just the party diehards and ideologues)
  • Usually a party that is not the government wins unless it is a real safe seat
  • Most people don't even realize there is an election
  • No party actually puts much effort into the campain

Apparently Trudeau and Wynne cared about it and made an effort. Wouldn't they just love to rule the whole country forever? Not going to happen!
