Bill's main problem was keeping "it" in his pants, nothing dumb about him!
Yes he was a horn dog no question about that. But there was no deficit. Same thing in Arkansas when he was in charge there. A surplus ,,not a deficit. And that really is the bottom line,, Blow jobs not withstanding.

Sad state of affairs when Trump is the best thing the GOP can come up with.
OTH he even makes Bernie Sanders look like presidential material.

C'mon. I know that you've read your history. You know damned well that "we're all created equal" is unadulterated horse shyte and it was always thus. Perhaps, theoretically, we are all equal under the law. In practise, we are nothing of the sort or the American jails wouldn't be bursting with poor Black people and the Canadian prisons with Native people.
I agree with you, but I see it from a different slant. "Created equal" was, unfortunately, not a statement of the world-as-it-is, but an aspirational statement. And we've come a lot closer over the centuries.

Screw the democracy stuff? Isn't that what the Electoral College is all about?
Not at all. It's how we structure our government. Believe me, we Americans are horrified by the fact that, in essence, y'all don't vote for a person to be the Top Dog, you vote for a party. That's fine. The Congressional system and the Parliamentary system appear to produce approximately equal results, so I don't really care.

We will see just how capable the average voter is this time, eh?
To quote the immortal Robert A. Heinlein, "Democracy doesn't guarantee good government. It guarantees representative government."

If the voters choose to be easily-swayed fools, they'll get an easily-swayed government.

C'est la vie. As Churchill said, "Democracy is the worst form of government in the world, except for everything else."

Let the games begin!

DEmocracy as practiced in Canada does not even guarantee representative government. Some parts of Canada have much more representation than others. Especially in our senate.

Thank you walter for your lack of insight and inability to compose a coherent response.

Der papa is wrong. Good money in rock. Especially if you own a bunch of it and someone needs a breakwater or a road.
Naw dad was talking blue rock that you got by the copper mines. They tried to make money selling that to the rock shops in Arizona for Indian Jewelry. They made more money trimming the palm trees in Phoenix. I liked his quote.

If Ted Cruz wins the GOP nomination, Hillary will be the next President.
