The apostle Paul is a prominent example of redeemed religious establishment. In his writings, the apostle repeatedly credits God in Christ for his new life, LL.

Think of it this way...you've been shown where you need to improve AND you get to stand up to the challenge and show 'em whatcha' got.

Everyone needs a challenge. Something to strive for otherwise, lifes a wasted loss of energy.

Paul screwed the whole thing up, turned the message of Jesus into a religion about Jesus. He was no apostle, he never met the man. He was an interloper who saw a need to organize all those rowdy followers of a radical Jewish rabbi and direct them (see: control) in a direction suitable to the Roman Empire.

Use the hype

Nicodemus was likewise a career cleric who experienced new life in Christ. (John 3,7,19)
