My girlfriend's kid has worked in the oil industry since he was 16. He quit school in grade 10 so he's only got his grade 9. With the slow down in the patch and now with two youngsters at home he's decided to make a change. Got his class 1 and drives a truck.

I would just like to add one general comment to this whole discussion................any perceived connection between a person's means of livelihood and their level of intelligence is a sure sign of crass ignorance of the person making the connection as is a connection between level of formal education and level of intelligence. One of the most intelligent people I ever knew, left school after grade 5.
