Pound them before they get kicked out, what would NATO be able to do about it, look at all the money the french would lose when their carrier was sunk with a single strike.

I'm going to assume the 'contract' included upgrading the places that ISIS had control of but are now wastelands.

"As soon as our pilot was safe, Russian bombers and rocket artillery of the Syrian government forces delivered massive strikes at the mentioned area," Konashenkov said.
"Terrorists and other mysterious groups acting in the area were destroyed," he said.
The spokesman added that militants and other armed units equipped with advanced devices tried to hunt down the navigator of the downed Russian Sukhoi-24M jet.

Russia ain't fighting ISIS. They're mostly fighting the FSA.
Remember how you were saying yesterday the Russians proved the Su was never over Turkey, Captain Pugwash?
Well, now Lavrov is admitting it was. Kinda makes a body wonder who's the bigger liar, you or Putin.
Then the answer comes to me. Putin is the liar. You're just the sucker.

Nobodies heard of the FSA in Syria for a year. Try and be more convincing when you invent please.

Erdoğan Picks Up A New Contract From The West...

By Emre Uslu
November 25, 2015 "Information Clearing House" - "Today's Zaman" - The world is now debating the downing of a Russian jet by Turkey. Most observers agree that bringing down that plane was very risky for Turkey. But is no one asking how Turkey had the courage to do this?I think this is the essential question in fact. What is giving Turkey the courage to stand up to like this to Russia, which is so much bigger, both militarily and economically? We are talking about the same Turkey that has never even brought down a Greek jet; Greece, of course, being many times smaller in all ways than Turkey. You might also stop and recall that some time ago, Israeli war planes strayed into Turkish airspace while heading to Syria to bomb some facilities there; Turkey did nothing to those jets. In contrast, however, Turkey brought down the Russian plane, without much warning, after an airspace violation that lasted all of 17 seconds.
There are, of course, technical explanations for what happened. But to understand, from a political angle, why Turkey made this decision, calls for examination from a wider perspective.
Let us first make this clear: The decision to down the Russian plane was not one Turkey made alone. If it were, the reactions from various Western capitals would be different than what we are hearing now. It's clear now that Turkey -- more specifically, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan -- has picked up a new contract with the West, and that the downing of the Russian jet is just the first stage of this contract.

Here's why it's time to kick Turkey out of NATO

Yesterday two Turkish fighter jets shot down a Russian aircraft over Syria.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMc1YG6pBws

Today Sergey Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister, acknowledged that the Russian jet had indeed been over Syrian territory — but for a grand total of seventeen seconds.

I do not want to agree with a man who has propped up Iran, or stuck a dagger in Ukraine. But it is hard to dispute his conclusion: this was not an accident.

Barack Obama and Justin Trudeau were asked which side they were on, and both said Turkey. That’s what the NATO treaty says.

Turkey made sense in NATO sixty years ago, when we needed all the allies we could get against Russia. Now it’s Turkey that’s picking fights, and Turkey that’s aiding our enemies. Time to kick them out.

I hope Russia will invade these damn Turks, took back Istanbul.

The strategic importance of Turkey

Lesson one)

Where is a big part of the Russian Navy based? How do you get in and out of the Black Sea?. How wide are the Dardanelles, anyway? Why did the Romans also re-locate their capital there with the aim of controlling the very same part of the world as is in our daily news broadcasts?

Turkey accuses Russia of slander as Moscow has 39 businessmen arrested in wake of downed plane

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan accuses Moscow of slander after suggesting Ankara buys oil from Isil, while Russia detains dozens of Turkish businessmen and threatens sanctions

Into the guts of Russia, yup. How do you think booting Turkey out of the club will look to the rest of the members? NATO should flatten Turkey and thus reenforce the unity of the North Atlantic Treaty Orginization.

Six months ago I didn't know who Ezra was.

And know I do.......

Gosh. It's not as if Ezra Levant hasn't been humiliated enough recently.

As if the people of Paris hadn't suffered enough, as if they hadn't seen enough ugliness.

Well now that horror show just got a little uglier.

Because the self styled Rebel Commander Ezra Levant is in the City of Light, sowing his darkness.

He seems disappointed that the French aren't in a feverish frenzy, and attacking their Muslim neighbours.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Ee9J7ZWZpQ&feature=player_embedded

His recent trip to Paris to try to convince the French to hate Muslims as much as him and his crazies do was a complete bust.

This trip has been depressing, because no one here is angry. They certainly aren't talking about -- God forbid -- letting people arm themselves. It's time for irrational hatred. It's time for vehement patriotism. This city needs a slap in the face.

Thankyou Boomer that was my first encounter with Mr Levent. He's interesting. I didn't know he was a reporter. Quite talented.

It Was Europe, Not Russia, That Was Hit by the Turkish F-16

The downing of the Russian bomber the day аfter the forum of gas exporters in Iran and on the eve of the Obama - Hollande meeting can hardly be a coincidence

With just one shot by a Turkish F-16, public opinion that was tilting towards Russia got a ‘reset’. I know it’s bad form to quote yourself, but here is the beginning of my article on the aftermath of the latest terrorist attacks in Paris:
“Barack Obama meets with President Vladimir Putin in the framework of the G-20 summit, and publicly refers to the constructive Russian position on Syria. Francois Hollande announces the entry of France into the war with the Islamic State on the side of Russia. Mass media projects into the public space the theme of a new civilization alliance against the Islamic plague, overshadowing other conflicts such as the Ukraine”.

The downing of the Russian aircraft live on television, two parachutes in the sky, Turkey’s request for a special emergency meeting of NATO instead of a dialogue with the Russian Defense Ministry, and the new alliance against the Islamic plague that was to include Russia, may vanish as if it never existed.
Now Russia alone is supporting Assad, while NATO fights for “the right of the Syrian people to a better life”.
The new paradigm was confirmed during this week’s meeting between Hollande and Obama. The two presidents agreed that the main condition for resolving the situation in Syria is the departure of Assad, and there would be no coalition with Russia against the Islamic State. Referring to his mysterious coalition of 65 countries, (includingTurkey), Obama insisted there could be no cooperation with Russia unless it limits its attacks to ISIS. “Blows to the moderate opposition only strengthen the Assad regime, the cruelty of which contributed to the rise of the ISIS”, he claimed, with little regard for the facts.
The downed Su-24M also created doubts about a number of Russian-Turkish agreements, including the ‘Turkish Stream,’ a new gas pipeline under the Black Sea, penned after the EU blocked the South Stream Pipeline, a previous alternative to the transit of Russian gas destined for southern Europe through Ukraine.
Another alternative to a Ukraine pipeline is a new branch of Nord Stream under the Baltic Sea. But this project is subject to the military situation in Donbas and possible new sanctions against Russia.
US companies have invested heavily in Ukraine pipelines, but they’re worthless without Russian gas.
Not to mention that it’s the 6th fleet that ultimately guarantees the EU’s energy security.
Oh, and how will all this affect the signing of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership?

Lord Snooty jabirujoe .6 months ago Great bowel shift? Yes, well when one is under strain whilst making a bowel movement, one's pronunciation of utterances does tend to change somewhat.
By the way, I should add that the orthography of written English has changed in the course of 1,000 years and the sentence in Old English that I quoted above is pronounced something like: ik shat that tord af minum erse - case endings in Old English, e.g. "-um" on "min" and "-e" on "ears" following the preposition "af".
As regards my interest in scatology, I should like to refer you to the York Turd.

Perhaps one day Higgins will become known as the "Leicester Turd"?
