Stephane Dion to Israel: Canada isn't your special friend anymore

Israel is a sovereign nation no matter what any of you think and legitimately so. They are the only democratic country in the Mid-east and have been, and still are, attacked for their existence.
Democratic countries need to stick together and defend each other regardless of whether or not we agree with their internal laws and traditions. Anyone who has not lived in Israel really doesn't know what it is like except from media reports which are often/usually biased to the reporters personal views.
Appointing Dion to a Cabinet position was sort of a slap in Canadians' faces considering how solidly he was rejected during his leadership failure. I'm surprised Trudeau hasn't dug up Ignatius and tried to ram him down our throats too!

Israel is not attacked, they're the aggressors. Failing to see that makes you sound disingenuous at best.
Trying to portray the situation as black and white as you just did, is about as dumb as you can get.

It is black and white in regards to who the aggressors are. Who the one with the most power is, backed by western terrorist countries. Who the settlers are. etc.

Not to mention in over 60 years of defacto war, the total toll, all sides in, is a generous 200,000.

Perhaps you should read more history. You would find, if you opened your mind a bit, that Jews have always been a peaceful race, have always had the lowest crime rates of any other race, have always had the strongest family values of any race, and have been persecuted more than any other race. Jews are industrious and have contributed generously to science and society in general.
What have Arabs contributed? They have not evolved in centuries. They have nothing to contribute, not even a sports team or a musician among them! They wouldn't even have an oil industry if weren't for the Americans who taught them what to do with their oil.
Aren't they the same people who made alliances to get through an enemy's territory then murdered those allies once the battle was won? That's in history too.....
