Stroke each other all you like, it takes more that to rattle me. I'm quite aware of the insecurity that the collective has when it comes to understanding much of anything. Let alone anything since 9/11/01, that's a long spell so it is unlikely you will ever find a cure for being that stupid.
Boomer assaulting barbers and cheering when children are murdered pretty much makes him a total creep in my book, if you find it to be a worthy attribute then so be it, doesn't elevate you in the norms of society because you wouldn't be cheering should it happen to your group of people.

Lee Aaron, Bryan Adams, Susan Aglukark, Paul Anka, Chad Allen (1st lead singer for The Guess WHo), Toya Alexis, James Anthony, Jann Arden, Richie Aucoin, Melissa Auf der Maur, and I can go on to the "B"s, "C"s, etc and then start naming bands.
But I'll just name a few more like Colin James, Neil Young, Nelly Furtado, Celine Dion (eeeeks, she shrieks), Leonard Cohen, Gordon Lightfoot, Joni Mitchell, Shania Twain, Diana Krall, Mickey Bubbles (Michael Buble), Sarah McLachlan, Feist, Jeff Healey, etcetera, ad infinitum.
Not many outside of classical at all and certainly not popular. hehehe

lol I had never thought of that (I guess I do not watch sports much). Now that you mention it, it does seem a bit ironic.
erm, I am pretty sure border officials would not allow those.

That would depend if the gov't was run by folks like Chretien, or by folks like Bernard Lord or Ralph Klein. Chretien seemed to like having Martin cut the provinces off at the knees, attempt the odd scam, etc. I should not have to mention the performances of Ralph or Bernard.
Stop being so stupid. Of course that is not the gov't mandate these days. What is, is to cater to corporations and global concerns.
Making money is fine whether it is in the entertainment field or whatever, but spending ridiculous amounts of money on ridiculous things like the "Voice Of Fire", spending $1.5 million on snow-grooming for the pleasure of Quebec snowmobilers, etc etc etc is just plain stupid.

Liberals always complain about a lack of money. So what? The Conservatives handed out buckets of cash. Harper continued to hand hundreds of millions to the CBC alone.
Stop being so silly. Corporations are nothing more than people that get together and invest in a venture.
They are supposed to spend for the benefit of ALL citizens....not just starving artists or sports fans.
uhuh Just keep thinking that. Corporations do not lobby gov'ts to hand them favours or anything of the sort. They do not spend millions on lawyers to figure out how to dodge taxes and exploit loopholes in laws and they do not suck up subsidies from gov't. uhuh
