The National Post and others should hang their heads in shame for Sunday front page
thing. It was evident the Tories were in ruins and the paid spot taking the front page
was disrespectful to readers period. The front page tells people what news is inside
it was never meant to be a commercial page praising a regime that deserved to be
hurled out office. At what point do you say the money is good the principal is not and
decline. Even the repudiated Conrad Black could no longer support this bus load of
clowns
So is it AOK to buy an advertisement on the front page of any rag ?
Say for the new smart phone ?

Or should the National Post have a ban on all front pages ads ?

Is it just conservative ads that are taboo or would you be singing the same tune if the Liberals or NDP
wasted this money ?

I think you just made the case why people aren't receptive to Conservatives.

I just wanted to have an honest conversation with you and for whatever reason you needed to be negative.

And you guys are then surprised why Trudeau won on sunny ways.
You don't want a conversation you just want to gloat .

Have at her you will be having a hate on for the Liberals in another couple of years .

I've said before, my kids have sat beside me and read some threads while I made fun of the trolls.

My kids see them (Loc, Das, CB, TS, IRBS et al) as crotchety old men. That's their perception of the Conservatives.

BTW, speaking of crotchety old men, where's Colpy been?
Hey! What about me?

Crotchety? Heck, I'm a downright a*shole.

How bout a little credit?

I see that the guy who said he wasn't a liberal is dancing for joy.....the hypocrisy is tangible...
He likes memes......I like gifs......

Silly social conservatives don't understand the difference between a Liberal and a liberal.

I'm quite happy Harper got his a$$ handed to him and Canadians rejected your type of politics. I would would have been happier if they had a fiscally conservative alternative to Trudeau. Oh well, 4 years of Trudeau couldn't possibly be worse than 4 more years of Harper. I know you'll disagree but, as has been proven repeatedly, you are just ridiculously silly

His party was levelled yet he won. Go figure eh?

Harper's gone. Of course he won. All Canadians won. Some are just too stupid to realize it.

I just had to repost this. The saltiness is really starting to get embarrassing

Ah, there's the problem: "It wasn't the policies, it was what the senior level had become.....".
The voters should be most concerned with policies, not the style in which those policies are carried out. The public will swallow all kinds of lies and duplicity, forgive any; major blunders, as long as the politicians smile, shake hands and kiss them and generally butter them up.
The Conservative policies carried us through global economic crises relatively unscathed. The public should be ashamed of themselves for ignoring that the Conservatives were on the right track and handing the reins over to an inexperienced lot of idealists. We get the kind of government we deserve. You called it, you will pay the price.
The Liberals in the past were not exactly ethical. It was their flagrant arrogance and attitude of entitlement that got them tossed out. The people have decided to forgive and forget in hopes that they will be more honest this time. I think you will find the party is the same old same old with some new faces and some new hands to pull the wool over your eyes.

This label, like liberalism can be misleading . The belief in the value of established and traditional practices in politics and society. (Webster's). Hard liners adhere to this and sometimes I feel to the exclusion of common sense. At any rate the classification that comes with the club paints an image of someone who regardless of facts, hangs on to principles that are glued to the definition. - Liberalism is the belief in the value of social and political change in order to achieve progress.( Webster's). But what is progress? Who the hell knows. It is a sure bet that whatever it is, be it positive or negative, it's going to be expensive. Not only that, but Liberalism, along with Conservatism, often makes promises that aren't kept,,the motive being, ,presentation of what is thought that the voters want to hear. So to me, each position provide a stage for those involved to read their script and put on their performances. Vital issues aside, the game is more often than not, a mental wrestling match that is about as genuine, as professional wrestling. ---I'm a registered Democrat and I will not renew that subscription. Tired of the two club contest. Not looking for a third party either. How about there be no party's. Then maybe we could see through the bullshyt and get some plain talk, without the entertainment.
