A new era has been born in the culture of Self entitlement in Quebec.

Sorry. Fill me in. Why is this Quebec's fault? The Liberal Party doesn't have much traction in Quebec in the 21st century. What you see on their map, this morning, is hardly a sweep and is likely as transient as all of that NDP support there proved to be.

Who cares! The social conservatives have been neutered for the time being anyway. It's a day of celebration. Now, hopefully the Conservatives can get their collective heads out of their rears and elect a good fiscal conservative leader instead of a tard like they've had for the last decade. If they do, Justin shouldn't be too hard to beat next time.
It needs to be a national party, this time and not so regionally centered.

Clicking last page in this thread goes back to page 68.

And since clicking the page buttons in the thread don't work (for whatever reason on this garbage forum), I have to click last page from the main site over and over again.

It's really annoying.

Now that Justin's in the kiss n' cry, and Stevie Minion's gone back to wherever minions go, there is one thing I was wondering. . .

Can Francophones be Old Stock Canadians, or do they get lumped in with all the non-whi. . . um. . . non-Old Stock Canadians?

Could it be that "old stock Canadians" is kind of a stupid term?

Nope, not at all. It's a codeword. Like Real Americans.

I'm just trying to get a fix on exactly who is being excluded. Non-whites, obviously (though some non-whites are the Oldest Stock of all). Muslims, clearly. But then it gets a little blurrier. Francophones? Catholics? Liberals?

You really gotta be in a culture to understand the subtleties of the codewords, so I'm just askin'.

I suppose, guess I find "cultured" people can be a big pain in the A$$. :)

'Old stock Canadians' is just a term that makes perfect sense; people jumped on it to criticize Harper as they always do.
It simply refers to Canadians who have been here for a long time and have made the country into the place where everyone now wants to live.
Those 'old stock Canadians' are the ones who did the grunt work, financed the programs to protect and support future generations. New Canadians shouldn't be surprised or insulted if they have to earn their place here just like their predecessors did.
Example: Old stock Canadians have paid into the health care system for years and now newcomers who haven't paid a cent into it are able to access it. It's that way with all of our services and systems. So what have the newcomers to complain about?

After clicking 20 times to get back to this page again, this joke of a response from the forum dictator is duly noted.
