Canada is now going to be the Mecca of the North... oh and the greatest importer of terrorism to the USA with 1000's of miles of undefended border. ;)

That border wall is now making sense.
Excellent! With all the trillions we spent (read: borrowed) for "Homeland Security," we need SOME action.

So far rightwing terrorists have killed more Americans than Islamic terrorists since 2001.

Yet for some reason we aren't liberating Alabama. Go figure.

I was one of those young Liberals swept up in Trudeaumania and I can see a very similar thing happening with Pierre's son. I just hope this Trudeau learned the lessons of his father's mistakes.

If not, he can always declare martial law, again.

Well, congratulations to the Liberals and Mr. Prime Minister Trudeau. Well done.

Personally, I favored Stevie Minion, mostly because he was so cute in them little overalls and goggles. We'll miss you, Stevie.

as I said earlier, this was the media party against the sitting government.

it's not some sort of national enlightenment, simply a hopey changey new prog age like was sold in the same manner south of the border.

there will be little to nothing negative written or said about the little rich kid who never had a job. well, not unless tv 'news' ratings start slipping and ad revenue is slim pickings.

it demonstrates how easily people can be manipulated into thinking what to believe by the heads...talking, mast and web alike.

simple as that. erstwhile ignorant folk being told there's a band wagon coming by their place and to hop aboard to be popular.

that that is lost on what should be reasonably intelligent human beings is representative of the true depth of awareness the average person you see has. they are likely the same crew supporting the illusion of ratings for daytime schlock, tv cooking wars shows and 'reality' programming that feeds the mind.

given some of the outrageously retarded statements the pony minister said over the past year, the drones were told to march behind him and their hair could be just as lustrous.

the elements have aligned my friends and parkas will balance the whip outs.

hopefully Canadians will realize sooner than later in this case but it gets really comfortable living month-to-month on the visa card balance. as long as they let you, you will.

"That's right - that's the way she goes. Sometimes she goes, sometimes it doesn't. She didn't go. That's the way she goes."

can't wait to see the shiny one tell mithter putin he thinks he's a big bully.

Well Trudeau won a majority, Ontario Liberals have a bigger debt load than Greece, now it's Canada's turn to end up like Greece as a nation.

In 4 years austerity, because we all know.... Budgets will balance themselves.
Haven't I told y'all someday we'll make Greece look like Canada-light?

A lifetime of working for the feds through various regime changes tells me this election landslide will amount to 'no change'.

And changing government ministers and deputy-ministers will have the same effect. If you want to have results effecting real change in government, you have to shake up all the little entrenched empires in between.

There's a lot of truth in what you say. The Bureau-cats are the ones with the real power!

The economy.
The scandals.
The erosion or destruction of our rights.
A few others.

The economy is good
the scandals - all 3 parties had them
the destruction of our rights?? What destruction? Nothing has changed for 99.99% of Canadians so what the hell are you talking about?

Canadians have spoken and I'm disappointed but it is what it is. I was disappointed in the Alberta election results too when Notley won but again - it is what it is. The sun will still shine, (altho' not as brightly lol) and the wind, rain and snow will still come.

Hopefully, Trudeau has SOMEONE who has substance behind him and will keep him on track; someone who will give him a scrpt to follow so he doesn't make absurd statements like "the budget will balance itself" and we need to "send winter coats to Syria" type statements.

I'm just hoping for the best as he's not his fathers son, fer sure!
