He's probably eying Canada wondering if Trudeau will manifest any more competence than his predecessor, Herpes or whatever his name was.

Spend Spend Spend!

Love it!

300 missions and maybe you'll get a couple more of em.

I'm curious as to where the money is coming from. Larger tax base? Higher taxes? More fees for government services? More fines for offences? Cutting social services? Charging more for the sale of resources on public land? Printing money? Something else?

Russia going it alone must be burdening its government budgetsignificantly. It can go it alone for only so long.

Beats me!

Russians are very capable but these things cost money... lots of it.

But also... don't forget... often times they simply don't pay their own people or military so the Russians have their ways. The Russian people are well suited to endure with nothing but water and pine needles.

Didn't you hear, the Golan Heights is sitting on a sea of oil.

And Israelis are sitting on the Golan Heights!

To be fair though, the Russians are no stupider than we are economically. All in the same boat of spending stupidity.

I am not going to use the word stupid. But the Russians do need to polish up on economics and management. Seriously, their military can go months without a paycheck for example. What the Russians have that the west does not is the ability to endure such great hardships.

Somehow the West's solution would seem the a lot further down the 'immoral trail'. Considering it is the US that is about to endure financial hardships while Russia sees expansion on incoming revenues. When was the last time the US military did anything for free. So far Russia is just fulfilling a defense treaty with Syria and Iran. Israel seems to be okay with it so what is the US reluctance based on.

Here is a nice chess move.

Moscow Ready for Deep Coordination With US on Fighting Terrorism in Syria
Lavrov also stressed that Russia was ready to provide aerial support to Syrian moderate opposition.
“We are ready to include the patriotic opposition, including the so-called Free Syrian Army, to provide it with aerial support, although we were declined information on where, according to US data, terrorists are located, and where is the patriotic opposition,” Lavrov added.

Obama doesn't seem to command the respect that other presidents may have. Similar to Carter. Maybe it's their stature, or how they carry them selves . Kennedy commanded respect as did Reagan.

Well, half of the United States reviles Obama because he is a black man. He doesn't even have to open his mouth. Carter was a little odd .. proselytizing Christianity doesn't necessarily mix with Presidency. Carter's biggest fault is that he was exceedingly unlucky. You have to wonder if any of the Islamic Guard in Tehran realized that they were far worse off dealing with Reagan than with the Carter that they destroyed.

He's a big time oil saleman, as well.

Fighting terrorism. That is laughable. The war is lost and the idiots are still "fighting".
The only way I can see to get terrorists from continuing is to be just like them and I absolutely hate the idea but it is the only answer I can see.

Always playing the race card, that's very poor defence of a less than mediocre prez.
