Pretty much. As I've said before, the summer of the year before the election is the "silly season," when people listen to the shouter who best expresses their frustration with politics, which is a frustrating business at the best of times.

I think Canadians may be taking this thing a little bit too seriously. Remember, our campaign period is TWO YEARS. We'll work our way down to two pretty ordinary politicians well before the election.
