It is not about prejudice- The Niqab is cultural not religious.

So?

You can't have a prejudice against a culture? Lol

Of course you are.

You can't let someone do something completely harmless because of your false perception of that person.

That's the very definition of prejudice.

The court referred to the Citizenship Act. Read the ruling, it was based upon religion, not culture.
I stated it was a cultural garment, you agreed.

And that is how the majority of Muslims look upon it- cultural.

As mentioned in another post,it can be appealed to the SCoC.

Northern Ontario,
Does anyone know if there is a time limit to appeal a decision by a federal court to the SCoC before that decision becomes law?
I'm interested on another matter altogether, and I can't seem to find anything......

He tried to pass a law inciting a ban which was later deemed illegal.

Get over it.

Which law was broken? Your error is staring at you in your title and the first line of your post.

Get on to it. Name the law(s).

Is that the legal final answer??
Or can the Act be amended?
Libs and NDP do not like it,and in a Minority Govt it would not pass.
But if you wish to bend to a BS cultural reason, when you thought is was based upon religion, then informed it was indeed cultural, well you should bone up on the topic.

I don't give a crap if someone wants to wear a clown suit during the oath and neither should you.

It's what we call a right wing position.

For a drivers license - Should it be permitted?
For testifying in court- Should it be permitted?
