I've been that way. Shiny new bridges were starte d 4 years ago and there is plenty of 4 already in place. Bridges are the hard part.
Anyhow it is really nice to see western Canada being finally built after a century of being ignored by Ottawa

The only other piece that comes to mind is a section around Cambie that was built about 20 years ago, that would be 10 km east of Sicamous.

it depends what you want to do with your spare time,i have favorites,and i can honestly say travelling on a road trip is one of mine.i like the city,there are things to do there,but i can only think of a few things cities attract my senses.i love visiting the city and i love leaving the city.i like my choices.i guess i am becoming old,i have few thrills.
We spent some time in Kalispell many years ago, I think we went through Whitefish but blinked. Kalispell has a few casinos. Just small jackpots.
My first experience in Montana was drinking beer in Eureka one Sunday. Went down there with friends from Cranbrook about 46 years ago. One of the guys was pissed when we went down and when we got to the border the agent asked us if he'd been drinking. He said if we admitted he'd been drinking he wouldn't let us cross. We said we wouldn't admit to that and he waved us through
After we were there for some time the guy disappeared so a couple of us went out looking for him. After awhile we found he had fallen into an open excavation!! In those days the Rooseville crossing closed at 6 P.M. so we high tailed it back there and made it with about 2 minutes to spare. Of course there was a line up at the crossing as in those days there was no place to drink beer in Canada on Sunday.i am not big on being in the USA for very long,a two,three nighter is fine.

It all depends on what you want to do while you are there. You can't go far wrong with Oregon any time of year, Washington is also very nice and varied. W.T.F. is a 420 safe zone?
