I could actually give you a serious answer to that question, but we both know it would be wasting my time.

"I would prefer that a leader of a party hold only Canadian citizenship, because one represents many Canadians, and for me that means that it's better to remain the citizen of one country,"

John Gilbert Layton

That's when Dion was Lib leader. That's different.

I'very already spoken to a few of my local candidates for the upcoming Federal election, and I hate to say it but unless one if them shows more independent thinking, I might be casting yet another blank ballot. I'm sick of casting blank ballots. I'm considering my local libertarian candidate, but even that with hesitation.

Never mind policy. Here's how I see the campaign unfolding:

Don't vote for Mulcair because he committed treason by getting French citizenship.

Don't vote for Trudeau because of his age.

Don't vote for Harper because he's scandal-ridden.

Okay, that's nice. So who should we vote for?

I have one burning question - Is it carved in stone that election day has to be Oct. 19? I've always understand the Federal Gov't. can have a maximum term of 5 years. I'm kind of prepared to hear Mr. Harper announce on Monday or whenever he drops the writ to say ha ha, election day will be Sept. 19 or more likely Sept. 22. If that happens remember you heard it here first. :) :)

Very simple, they all are wart covered. I'd vote Harper mainly because (as I've said before) it eliminates the horrendous cost of changing Gov'ts- no doubt in the $billions (just in severance costs alone never mind renovating Sussex Drive, building new signs etc.) We know with Harper what we are getting & personally I've been able to survive within my income. But that's just me- maybe Mulcair or Jr. can convince you that higher taxes will be worth it!

The Libertarian Party would shrink the size of government too, which is about all I like about it. If you're not going to improve the structures of government, then the next best thing is to shrink it maximally.

Shrinking is improving.
