no, the Ontario Disability Support Program. Same program that provides me my money $1,098 / month. Shelter and basic needs. Glad to be able to live independently.
When I get hired, of course. I never said it will be easy. It won't but I still want a good career and all that. is it a crime for me to want that despite the adversity I am bound to face? Are you trying to discourage a developmentally disabled person from success? oh no, I guess a legally disabled person wanting to work and such is a crime.... I may even need certain accommodations in the work place too, not sure but possibly, I know some do. For now I already said I applied for help with finding a job, gosh.

What's different between the SK version and the ON one other than $500 more given to disabled in SK?
What makes you think that? 1/3 is considerably more.
$1400 plus another $500 in the housing suppliment. How much is your rent in ON?? Alberta and SK have plenty of jobs even for disabled. Could you run a Tim Horton like the guy with Downs at my local Tims. He doesn't need a penny from anyone.
So tell me why you have the same services available to someone with Downs but deserve to exist?
He's right while there are people with downs that do thrive, many have just part-time jobs and have benifits, etc.
Did another Mellencampfan write this or was it you? Do you still feel Dawkins is right? You are in the same boat as someone with Downs but the only thing separating you from them is simply your attitude towards them.

IMO, you will be one of those that uses their "disability" as a reason to NOT work. You will continue to do what you are doing here tonight. Coming up with excuses.
Give me a valid reason that isn't vanity based for a woman to choose abortion.
Give him the benefit of the doubt, Gerry- he's 20 years old and his attitude may change.

I'd forgotten about this little goody. I see Downs syndrome people are denigrated by you because they have "JUST" part time jobs and get benefits.
Now, didn't you just finish posting that you DON'T work and get over a grand a month in "benefits"?
So, tell me, who is the better contributor to society, you or the Downs syndrome person that actually works?
Life in danger isn't vanity. Abortion because of rape is vanity when the child can be give up for adoption.Give him the benefit of the doubt, Gerry- he's 20 years old and his attitude may change.
Life is in danger? Rape?
