All right, let's just get this out of the way first shall we?
Have you noticed a sudden aversion to sunlight? Have you lost the desire to eat garlic? Do small spindly pieces of wood send shivers up your spine?
Seriously though that sucks (no pun intended), I understand the shots to be quite the ordeal. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
But you should really try to milk the whole vampire thing cuz who has the opportunity to do that often in their lives.
he juants to suck your blood.See! I'm not the only one!

Better than the alternative if the bat was rabid. Good on ya Juan for taking it seriously.
Aren't bats the ones that can be a carrier (of rabies) without being infected? Or am I thinking of something else?
Bat propaganda.1. All Bats Carry Rabies.
FALLACY. All mammals can contract and carry rabies, however bats are not asymptomatic carriers of the disease. In reality, bats contract rabies far less than other animals. Less than 1/2 of 1% of all bats may contract the disease. A variety of wild animals (rabies vector species) can catch rabies, including foxes, skunks, raccoons, coyotes and bats. Cats and dogs and even livestock can also contract rabies.

And "Will I live forever as long as I avoid sunlight and Germans with wooden stakes?"
I take a rabies shot once a month just in case. There a few rabid posters on these forums, so just to be on the safe side....One thing I forgot to ask the doctor.was "Will I now be safe from catching Rabies from other rabid animals?

Yay.... Just had the last of the Rabies shots......none of them particularly. My doctor tells me that I should now be fairly immune to rabid bat, cat, dog bites but he doesn't recommend that I go out and challenge any of these animals.
There were eleven shots in all.....pretty dull stuff really.

If I got bitten again I would go to public health dept and get one shot on the day of the bite and another the next day, that's it!How long does the immunity last? Do you have to go to the vet once a year for a booster?![]()
Crap I thought we would be needing holy water and a steak, after that bat bite.
