And not realize that those a generation behind them said more or less the exact same thing about them. Thats been going on for thousands of years. Im hoping I dont wind up being one of those people saying the same bs when im older.
I know I won't be. I see the effect it's having on virtually everything. The NIMBY mentality does not serve the greater good.
You shouold be nicer. You are likely going to be one, one day.

I am nice. I pay the debt the seniors racked up and I pay so the seniors can maintain their standard of living. It's the least I can do.
Every tax payer participates in debt whether they want to or not. The younger generations will pay more when it comes to servicing the debt then they get from the program benefits. Some us think think we need to live within our means however seniors are the biggest voting block and they do so love their entitlements.
The number of hours of labour hasn't changed one bit but the value of the of the dollar does. You aren't working as hard as they did.

Not at my regular job. I don't have to. I'm more productive. Since we don't have the same level of social programs, I work far more outside of work than my parents or grandparents did.
That is going around Angstrom. Down here a good number of our non-mechanical jobs are going to immigrants (legal and illegal). Also a good number of IT jobs are going to H-1B visas. Some US citizens are even having to train H-1B immigrants that will be replacing them in order to get their severance pay.

Many things but I dare say it may be a little over your head. Cell phones, SCADA systems, on line monitoring systems and remote alarming allow me to do more in the same amount of time. The job I currently do was done by 2.5 employees only 15 years ago. I have flexible hours so I can work when it suits me or the job. I'm home right now but am heading to work at 6:00 because that is the best time to do the particular task I have to do. I get paid to be on call and I can choose to bank that time and take it off if I so choose. I have a great job and happy employees are productive employees. Now, that's me personally. I can't answer that question for everybody but clearly, we are working less as a society and producing more.

I'm not to worried about anyone with less then 15 years of institutional construction site experience.
I have heritage grade experience as high as to give me clearance to work on the Canadian parliamentary buildings . + Door & hardware experience the whole nine yards.
Let's push it back to after the Leafs win the Stanley Cup. I want to live forever (although I am technically not a Boomer ... I am without a generation).
