And this M Generation is going to inherit the largest transfer of wealth ever seen. Though that entails my generation dieing.

Yeah, if you've got one of those "We're Spending Our Kids' Inhertiance" bumper stiuckers and your car was recently keyed--my bad.

Tsk tsk tsk. They should have taken a trade. They wouldn't be serving coffee.

I've been trying to tell them all that! College isn't for everyone even IF you get a degree.

Get a trade and you will always find work if you look hard enough.

My son's pal choose a tech/trade school. Four months and he graduated and got a job with Coca-Cola fixing vending machines for $56,000 to start.

True, but even if they did, would they outnumber the b00mers?

They will. Boomers were all excited with the WWII generation dying off. Now they are retiring and... dying off.

As long we stop giving money to people who don't need it.

Help me out here. Are you talking about inheritance?

Coke won't be going under anytime soon. Good choice.

Ever heard anyone say "boy that plumber was cheap"?

It was a great choice.

Never! And I've never heard them say... "Oh I will be right out there to install your new sink right away!"

My dad was an electrician... he is very comfortable in his retirement now. I went to see him at the VFW.

"Hey kid. I got my taxes back. I made $92,000 this past year... sitting right here in this seat."

It's their money.

It should have been their money but since they put the country so far into debt with their demands for government programs, it's actually their children's, grandchildren's and great grandchildren's money.

But you don't mind using the roads and hospitals and schools and airports and EI and welfare, etc etc.

...... That's different, right?

My old man was the type that lived in the garage when he wasn't working. Being a farm boy he learned everything that was necessary to repair machinery, building and coming with what was needed on the fly which evolved into mechanical engineering. We didn't play catch or sh-t like that, we built things. By the time I was 16 I could rebuild a small block Chevy, pull, bondo and paint a bent, rusty quarter panel run a wicked bead welding and build wooden grain bins, sheds garages but I couldn't throw a football worth sh-t.

I'm forever grateful for the skills he gave me.

...or paying debt servicing costs for all the social benefits and increased standard of living the older generations received. Yup, I get benefits and I pay for them, unlike the older generation. I'm not complaining mind you. I'm simply pointing out what a bunch of hypocrites some of our seniors are.
