The thing with the dams is, unlike the thermal electrical generation faciliteisa, they can be turned on and off. That's why BC Hdyro sells power to Alberta in the day time (when it is more expensive). Then we turn the dams off and buy from Alberta (who can't turn their thermal plants off) at night when it's cheap. Same with the US. That's what keeps our electricity rates so low in BC. Thanks guys!

Makes sense why your province is in the fiscal sh*tter... Instead of using that existing, renewable resource in the evenings, you import your energy.

Besides, the demand from BC for coal-fired electricity is what gives us a good chuckle every time you ecotards flap your arms about saving the planet

Alberta, Alberta--land of butt cleavage and sideburns. I'm sorry we're hosing you on power.

Kinda like the we we hose you on gasoline

Vancouver - 123.9
Edmonton - 84.9

Yep, thanks for you BC folks being so willing to subsidize our cheap gas here in AB

92.9 here. pst being what makes it a wee bit more. 30 extra cents taxes is something to be proud of on the west coast.

No matter how many centuries they have progressed the tribes still compete and fight with little accomplished. Ukrainians, feeling lessor still, appear to pick on others to pretend they are special.

Gigawatts schmigagawatts... I'm going to wander on down to the local renewable energy fuel station and fill up with a full tank of rainbows and unicorn kisses.

.. Get fantastic mileage on that, don't ya know

Just watch that the unicorn doesn't slip you the tongue.

So now that the Dutch disease has been cured there must be hundreds of thousands of manufacturing jobs in Ontario begging for these guys to come home to.
