Yes for about a week. There are a lot of pieces here. The guy was a convicted murderer as well, paroled after doing his time. But he killed a store clerk during a robbery in 1980 I think I read. Also read he was last seen heading to a casino, so are there gambling issues? Could well be that he's simply a victim too. But I have a feeling this is not racially motivated. Could be wrong though. Just seems like it's the first thing everybody is going to jump on and someone trying to hide their association to a murder might think of that too.

As it should! The police have to treat every unusual death as suspicious, they wouldn't be doing their jobs if they didn't. And given the peculiarties of where and how this body was found, I'd say it's correct action for the Feds to be involved too. Even if, in the end, it turns out to be nothing more than run of the mill murder (and how sad that murder can be run of the mill!) it would be short sighted of them not to turn over every rock.
