total domination by the Devils - goalie Kinkaid was injured as he appeared to overstretch his legs = hopefully he will make a full recovery and soon

devils must have still been all bubbly from beating that listless canuck team last night, canucks shouldn't
automatically expect islanders to be as listless as they were last night, just because they played
today, don't think that will happen, tavares will see to that.

Normally I would hope for a Jet's win over the Laff's but tonight's loss may be a blessing in disguise. I watched some of the game and was on the fence the whole time.

How many points to guarantee a playoff berth? I'm guessing 95!

Yep, every Canuck has to play like his life depends on it. They still need another 25 points or so!

yep, right now watching the outdoor game l.a./san jose, would be nice if they both lost, but hopefully
one team will get 2 without that 3rd point showing up for the loser.

Actually no teams have been eliminated from the playoffs yet, although Buffalo must mighty close.

well canucks definitely a crippled team, struggled thru the first period, miller was awsome,
but they came on for the rest of the game, lack replaced miller when he was injured, and
he definitely redeemed himself from last game, played great.

kassian and the twins played well, he got another goal, just don't like those periodic bad
passes from both of the twins, happening too much.

vrbata scored on a pretty wrist shot, and webber scored in the empty net.

horvat scored a nice one, but we must commend that whole line, as they are all playing very
well, and the pass that kennens gave horvat was so sweet.

good showing, good win, now on to boston.

Yeah, it sounded like a dandy. Too bad it wasn't televised here!

It was on sportsnet. Kind of a Hockey Night in Canada simulcast. Not the regular station.

The defense is playing better without the top 3. Just basic grind-it-out stuff that works. Not allowing a lot of odd man rushes. Bieksa, Tanev and Elder could learn a little from this.

Canucks are a bit Jekyl and Hide these days though. Who knows what the next game will bring.

yeah, i agree about the defense, although i think 'elder' as you call him lol, is having his best
season yet. i don't know about bieksa, even though he is a leader, lots of mental strength out there,
a force to be reckoned with by the other team, his 'actual' defensive talent leaves a lot to be
desired in my opinion. and there is frankie corrado, wonder when he will be back.

they are playing well for a patched up team, mcMillan and kennans are very fast, and although they are new
and we don't know how they will be long term, the team is faster, and they needed that.

the twins are continueing to play better, since burrows joined them, and for some reason it is working
with kassian, don'tknow if that is dumb luck or what, we will also see how that goes long term.

i'm sure hamhuis will be very thankful when edler returns, sometimes he looks like a deer in the headlights.
lol, but he is packing a lot of minutes now, will be nice when they can cut back a bit on that.

if miller can't play for awhile, guess they willbring up markstrom, no nhl experience, so lack will
get 'all' the games, unless he screws up or gets injured, then they will be toast, so hopefully miller's
injury is slight.

does anybody remember what richardson's injury was, i forgot, allmost forgot him too, its been so long.

couldn't you have found it on your computer?

Yep, I checked the score periodically. We normally get it on channel 9 but the odd time we don't.

Tell me about it! I predicted losses against the Rangers and Islanders and wins against the other 3. You just can't never tell! :) Too many intangibles!

Richardson is out with a lower body injury lol. Or as Vignault used to say - a body injury.

I hope Beiga sticks around. He's a pretty rugged guy. Out hitting everyone on the team.

I wouldn't mind seeing Markstrom play. I'm sure they've worked hard with him.

yeah, richardson has a foot injury, guess it was a broken bone from a shot.

i don't waNt to see markstrom play this season, they only have a little more than 20 or so games
left, they could make the playoffs, i would rather see a back up come from another team, who
is experienced in the nhl, not him. if he is a future nhl star fine, hope they don't do itnow.

i like biega too, he's a keeper.

predictions don't mean much, thats why i don't buy into that line of chat. good thing you didn't bet the
farm. lol

looks like you will probably see markstrom play At some point, he has been cAlled up, miller is having
an mri in vAncouver today.
markstrom is doing great in utica, but that isn't the nhl, faster game, hArder shooters, better plAyers,
maybe he will be fine, who knows, i just hope lack plays like he can, in my opinion game for game he has
been just as good as miller, just hasn't had the gAmes, but he was great last year until luongo asked
to be shipped out of town, left lAck on his own, which didn't help him, he didn't play quite as well
after that, it was too much too soon.
tanev and bonino will be back very soon.

Well, I guess the Devils have pretty finished off the Yotes for another season. One less worry for the Canucks! Now just a few more pesky teams left to show the way to the golf course. :)

Devils > Yotes 3-0

Yotes had more shots but goalie Cory Schneider had one heck of a game and stopped them all for a shut out win.

A few more wins and they just might make the playoffs.

montreal ahead of st. louis - 4-2
nashville ahead of colorado- 3-1
edmonton ahead of minnesota- 2-1
winnipeg ahead of dallas - 2-1

all games at the end of the second period

vancouver defeated boston - 2-1, should say eddie lack defeated boston

game was very lopsided, over 40 shots on lack, he stopped all but one.
kassian scored again, great shot, and stanton scored vancouvers 1st goal

on two occasions lack was run over by a boston player, no call on either play, then later they
gave 'him' a penalty for tripping, go figure.
