I believe in mental telepathy, Talloola, if you and I both think hard on it, it will all come to pass. :) They have the "tools", they just have to use them.

so do the other teams., and they have to use them, that is the whole point of the game, which team
will use their tools best on that given night.

thats why some weaker teams beat stronger teams, and visa versa, cause they are all just human, and
what they want to do, and what they do, often aren't the same, plus lucky and unlucky throughout the
game.

i always find it interesting, as the 'fans' never think of what the other team does, only what their
own team should do, according to them, and they usually don't even know anything about the other team,
and are certain their own team should always win anyway, and usually talk about what their own team 'let'
the other team do or not do, as though their own team is in charge of all decisions on the ice.

seems funny, but for the most part it is true.

oh, i forgot, when their own team doesn't win, then someone has to be blamed, that is funny to me, and
that is because the fAn is p***ed off and can't stand losing.

Well, that's not difficult to understand- there are 30 teams and the average fan may spend 3 or even 6 hours a week watching hockey and then it's off to other things. When my son was in minor hockey, there were 21 teams in the N.H.L. and he probably knew every player on every team and I probably knew a tenth of them. Now there are teams where I probably couldn't name any of them. I generally only pay attention to another team when they come up against the Canucks.

Isles make a strong comeback with a convincing 4-1 road win over Carolina

there appeared to be more Isles fans than Canes fans!

i saw a bit of that game, i was jumping back and forth between games tonight, saw most of the nashville/
san jose game.

our family has watched and discussed the nhl for many many years, so As time goes on we are all familiar
with the whole league, where players play, where they move to, individual stats, etc. it just becomes
very familiar, and once you know all of the teams, it isn't hard to keep track of them.

i like to watch the players on the 'other' team when canucks are playing, i like to see which ones are
making good plays, also the ones i really like, the rookies as well. i have hockey 'on' a lot at home,
as we have nhl center ice, but i'm not always sitting and watching, i watch and listen while i am
doing other things as well, i can catch up on things i miss on later sport shows and highlights.

i could not enjoy the hockey if i only focused on the canucks, i want to know about 'who' they are
playing so that 'i can see the game in a balanced way', and not just what 'my'team is doing, thats
just not good enough. i chat with my daughter about hockey quite a bit, she knows the whole league
too, she is very knowledgeable, so we have lots in common, as well as my husband, so the three of
us discuss different aspects of the nhl, the canucks, and individual players.

i do lots of other things, but i always keep up with the nhl.

i have sattellite tv, but i find 85 percent of the shows are garbAge, i like some of the diy shows, some detective shows, georgraphic shows and animal shows, my husband watches the hunting and fishing shows, they can burn the rest of those stupid one hour sit coms and
soap opera things, i hate them, and i follow the pga golf, and when baseballstarts
i will follow the blue jays, and i'm trying to become more familiar with other
baseball teams as well.

I enjoy watching Pawn Stars on the History channel, I find that stuff quite interesting.

islanders over nashville - 5-2, washington over winnipeg 5-1, florida over montreal 3-2 SO,

vancouver over new york 3-2 SO.

canucks played a very good game tonight, with the exception of 21 seconds where miller let in one
he would want back, and henrik sedin coughed up the puck badly, causing a goal.

but the game went on and canucks fought back, scored the tieing goal with little time left, and won
it in a shoot out. henrik redeemed himself by scoring the tieing goal.

willie desjardin put out a line with 4 forwards and 1 defencemen to try for that tieing goal, controlled
the puck the whole shift, henrik finally scored.

horvat, hanson, mathias, sbisa, burrows and the twins, all had very good games.
hard team work from everyone.

this team is playing hard for this coach, he has their backs, he helps them, they help him. they want to
win for him, they work hard, they will go to the wall for him. he is a true players
coach. he has great feel for the lines he puts out.

tomorrow against new jersey, this is a team that is quite beatable, just hope canucks have their legs
for 60 minutes.

just watched san jose defeat dallAs 5-2, but 2 of those goals went into empty net.
dallas bombArded san jose all thru the 3rd period, only scored one goal, then it
all backfired when they pulled their goalie.

Vancouver > Ranger 5-4 in shoot out

Argh!!!!

Thought the Broadway Blues were gonna pull this one out but, as often happens, they fade late in the game. Unfortunately, they lack physicality and get worn down as the game progresses. This especially hurts them during playoffs so let's hope they get a good free agent or two before the trading deadline expires.

the other guys are rising to the occasion, thats the way is works, when the chips are down the tough
get going, these players are playing just fine, i'm impressed with how much spisa has improved, he
is becoming a very efficient defenceman, doesn't give up the puck anymore, makes much better decisions,
and i see him as a long time player in this team.
players out of the lineup give others a chance to shine.
the new young player, mcMillan, who went in for kassian played well, nothing great, just efficient, did
his job.
i also like biega very much, he has played so solid since coming on the team, don't know how they can take
him out of the lineup.
anyway, those are nice problems for coaches to have, good depth. i just hope miller keeps playing solid,
as they need that down the stretch, and lack too.

You shouldn't be sad about this loss- after all it was the CANUCKS that beat them! :):)

It is good to hear you say that Desjardins is working out for the Canucks, talloola. It's funny but when I heard that Willie had grown up not far from Canuck, Sask............I had the thought that maybe, just maybe there might be some karma working there.

he has had a lot of success over the years, last year he coached dallAs's Ahl team, texasstars, And they
won 'everything' there was to win in that league, and he has had success on other teams over the years,
don't know why he didn't come into the nhl a long time ago. all of his coaching comrads have high praise
for him, they know how good he is. its funny, he could easily have been pittsburgh's coAch, but he
turned them down, then came to vancouver, And the other fellow, forget his name, would have come to
vancouver, then pittsburgh hired him. he was assistant coach in vancouver a few years ago.

desjardin did quite a bit of coaching in medicine hat.

I know he was well thought of by coaches and player's alike when he helped coached both the Canadian Men's and Juniors hockey teams, talloola.

that right, too bad they didn't hire him last year, but, oh well, desjardin was busy winningwith
the texas stars, so he needed to be there so that team could win the championship.

this team right now is a patchwork quilt because of all the injured players, but that often creates
more talent, and makes a team deeper. i would love to see them make the playoffs, after
that they caN do whatever they cAn, i'll be satisfied, as i know in the years to come jim
benning and trevor linden, along with willie, will build another contender.

well, the first game over tonight is cAnucks and new jersey. a very flat game by canucks, at least for the
first half of the game, and worst of all eddie lack played poorly in the first period, letting in 3
soft goals.

kassian had a bit of fun scoring 2 goals.

thats the worst i've seen lack play since he came onto the team.

too bad burows couldn't play, he wouldn't have put up with that sort of play,
he would have got them going. higgins had some jump, so did vey, kassian
did score 2 goAls, in the right place at the right time i would say.

however not all is lost, as they were expected to lose last night and didn't, and expected to win tonight
and didn't, so i suppose all is well. lol

i'm off to watch calgary and anaheim, hope both teams are awake in this one.

Broadway Blues > Buffalo 3-1

Rookie goalie Mackenzie Skapski allowed the first SOG into the net but shined thereafter and led the Rangers to the win.

Good to see new talent in the squad and hope it's the start of the type of surge that'll help them through the playoffs and into the Cup championship.

didn't watch that game tonight, did watch canucks play new jersey, very flat poor game for canucks, bad
goalkeeping as well, too bad as they had beat your rangers, and a win tonight would have put them in
a good place on this 5 game road trip, oh well, write it off and move on, tomorrow is another day.

total domination by the Devils - goalie Kinkaid was injured as he appeared to overstretch his legs = hopefully he will make a full recovery and soon
