One thing is certain, the Liberals can't say Harper propped it up. No story about how Baird's ex friend's brother was a director of the CRTC who lobbied for Harper's second cousin who wrote copy for the SUN. No evil story to be invented.

That's true. The simple fact is that there aren't enough silly people in Canada that are interested in watching and supporting it.

I don't know Sun News is at least the second one he's driven into the ground. He could run a reality show callled Canada's Biggest Douchebag I guess.

Yeah...people that were actually interested in more than one view of the news.

Sun TV actually showed the Charlie Hebdo cartoons, while the other Canadian TV "News" outlets chickened out. Completely. While claiming the moral high ground. And displaying the Piss Christ on their Arts page (the CBC) Sun News was by far the better journalists.

Sun TV actually followed the High River gun grab to the bitter end, while the CBC tried to ignore it. I personally think the RCMP entering, searching, and seizing without warrant or due cause is newsworthy..........Sun News was by far the better journalists.

Sun News recently exposed the fact Putin's Russia is funding the anti-fracking people, to the tune of tens of millions of dollars. Don't hold your breath waiting for CBC coverage. Sun News was by far the better journalists.

Sun News actually told the truth about the NB anti-fracking uproar and riot here last summer. Nobody else came close, and I know what went on..........Sun News was by far the better journalists.

Sun News is the only outlet that had almost constant debate on the important issues of the day.....if I wanted hockey scores, news on the summer games, stories of the rich and famous, a love fest for Justin Trudeau, or fashion advice for the urban transgender, or any other article contributing to the dumbing down of society I go to CBC. If I want discussion of the actual news, I went to Sun.

Sun News was by far the better journalists.

And you would have danced around a pile of burning books......which is the same thing you are doing crowing about the demise of Sun.

Again with the silliness!! I'm not crowing about the demise of Sun. I'm under 70 so I don't care about TV News networks. You're confusing me laughing at ideologues with me caring about them. For what it's worth, I used to listen to Adler all the time on the radio...wildly entertaining guy. Can't be bothered to sit in front of the boob tube and watch him though. More important things to do

Well I have to be honest, I never watched Sun News accept for a few YouTube News Clips posted on CC.

I don't have 'Canadian' TV, just DirecTV here in Canada, and my news channel of choice is FoxNews..

Fair and Balanced.

I'm under 70 so I don't care about TV News networks.

I think you said you were around 50, so hate to break it to ya, you're still OLD..

I'm not a fan of political agenda news networks. MSNBC Fox and Sun. However from time to time I'll watch them. I don't hope for their shut down. Work is work.

I would have loved for them to keep going, but let's be honest - that could only truly happen if they dropped the 'news' bit and just went full out American Gladiators.

Or if they could dig deep into the taxpayers chequebook and have the thought police in their back pocket and force eveyone with cable to have their channels like CBC does.
