Speculate till hell won't have it there was nothing or very little there
Lets see do some know the region well enough. America is first
attacked on 9/11 by radical terrorists working from Afghanistan and
the Americans go after the terrorists in in in in Iraq and the reason is
Iraq had oil and America could persuade the Iraqi's to pay for the war
with the oil and that didn't really work either Afghanistan ended up a
side show

Blowback! U.S. trained Islamists who joined ISIS
Ever wonder why ISIS get so many of it's weapons from Jordan?

If ISIS has chemical weapons they are not from Iraq as they have a 'shelf-life', the goodies would be coming from Jordan and it would be Israeli or NATO goodies that they are getting.

Anyone with a clue could have.

Saddam was not a nice man but we should keep a few things in mind after the fact.
The babies thrown out of incubators story later proved to be false. It was either a
congressional hearing or a senate hearing that first reported that. It was later in fact
reported that the woman who testified was not even in the Middle East and the story
was much later stuffed under the rug like everything else connected with it.

Yes Iraqi's were gassed perhaps even more than once I don't know how many times.
The unfortunate thing is the Americans supplied Saddam with video from Satellites
showing Iranian troop movements. The point in question is this on a cold night the
Iranians had moved out of a town near the front line, when they left the civilians moved
into to escape the cold and were the victims of said gas attack. Did he set out to gas
the people or was it a by product of another event. I never did see anything that suggested
there were other attacks so I would reserve comment about more than one instance.
I am going from memory here as I was in the media at the time and a lot of stories and after
stories were reported some in highlight form other in almost obscurity

As for the assassination attempt I have not seen anything that refuted that statement.
then again how many people have been assassinated by agents of the American govt.
The opposing sides engage in this all the time and one is no more innocent or guilty
than anyone else.

Poll: 42% of Americans Think Troops Found WMDs in Iraq
More Than Half of Republicans Think They 'Definitely' Found WMDs

Poll: 42% of Americans Think Troops Found WMDs in Iraq -- News from Antiwar.com

A new poll from Farleigh Dickinson University reveals that a huge portion of the American public, including the majority of self-identified Republicans, wrongly believe US invasion forces “definitely or probably” found WMDs during the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

Over the course of the protracted occupation, US forces found remnants of Iraq’s known former chemical weapons program, but learned that there was no active weapons program. Overwhelmingly what was “found” was under UN seal, with occasional discoveries of broken, forgotten remnants of the program.

It is disturbing to note that 42% of Americans, 51% of Republicans, and 46% of Independents all believe this long since discredited belief, many years after the Bush Administration, which used WMD as the basis for the entire war, conceded they were wrong.

Post #1 proves there was so I'm surprised that the number isn't 100% believe WMD's were n Iraq.
