We can't seem to find the money to properly feed and house all the people born in Canada but we can afford a few thousand new refugees? Must be an election coming.

No we should cut off aid all aid humanitarian, military and trade cut it off and embargo
seize bank accounts of nations supporting ISIS. All captured ISIS members that includes
recruits should be executed upon capture.
We are capable of being something more than polarized. It is time politicians understand
the general public is fed up with hand wringing, they are fed up with making excuses for
the those who behave this way and those who support them by helping or remaining silent.
It is time our silent majority said Enough

FWIW-Syrian food is said to be The Best in the ME-after these folks have managed to establish themselves some of them will open little cafes-remember a person should always have something to look forward to.

How about we quit fuking up their homeland to get rich and then there wouldn't be any refugees, mind you we would be poor then and they would be living a better lifestyle an American Middle class.
Might as well just kill them like the 2M that never lived to make it refugee status.

Seeing Canada violate the Geneva Conventions so blatantly would be kinda funny.

How about we cut off the $30B in munitions or so that we bomb them with yearly for about the last 4 years in Syrian and 14 years for Iraq since Gulf I

Key words bolded. Bush used 'on such a massive scale' to duck not knowing about attacks from the air.
I don't see anybody getting dragged there for the Syrian soldies that were killed while unarmed in that time all those goodies went into Syria from Iraq. More like it would be convenient justice, the method would put them in a storage container and lock it and leave it, we do **** like that already and nobody says squat. Make a good read though.

Data Shows Canada Upping Arms Sales to Human Rights Abusers

Ottawa may have been none too happy with now-ousted Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi, but the Canadian government didn't have much of a problem increasing weapons shipments to his government by 182,819 percent.

It's all part of how Canada's military exports have re-oriented in recent years, as more and more Canada-made weaponry heads into shaky territory. When those less-than-stable regimes eventually crumble, like Morsi's did, figuring out where those Canadian-made armaments end up is a real crapshoot.

Aside from the now-jailed Morsi, the power-hungry Saudis, the democracy-quashing Bahrainis, and the communist regime in China all bought significant amounts of military goods from Canuck suppliers.

Canada, overall, had its best-ever arms-exporting year in 2012, bringing in more than $1 billion. Canada's total exports slid a bit the year after, to a still-high $680 million. That figure puts Canada near the list of top 10 arms exporters worldwide.

Libya, Afghanistan, Nigeria, China and Colombia are all big recipients of Canada-made armaments.

Actual weapons are not Canada's only contribution to events that are causing a lot of Muslims to become refugees. To then bitch that there are any and that we bear no blame is about 3x as racist and ignorant as we claim Muslims are. No wonder out vote at the UN is the opposite of all but a handful of nations on the earth. Yet the clincher to our insanity is they we still thing our view is the only one that matters and the 170 other Nations can go fuk themselves.
We just put 170 Nations under sanctions, how do you think that is going to actually turn out for us.?

I don't believe we should stop immigration completely, but the number of refugees should be drastically reduced so that they can be carefully screened. Also there needs to be some kind of follow up to make sure they are integrating properly into our society.

About sending money to these countries, what happened to "charity begins at home", here and in the US we have many poor people who need help.
