Very sad. He was a great guy.

Pat Quinn will be missed by anyone who knew him. The last time I saw him, about a year ago, it seemed to me he looked a bit under the weather. Quinn wasn't a super star but he was big and fearless and he was a defenseman that opposing forwards respected.

RIP Pat...

I remember back in the mid 80's sometime I was down deep in the Chiapas Highlands in southern Mexico and Pat Quinn was coach of the LA Kings but hockey news was thin in what media that existed-months later when I surfaced he was President & GM of the Canucks!

Too bad. One of the few good players on the Leafs when he played for them.

Where did you hear that?
Not sure, on the news just before noon as I recall.


I just searched the I/N for it and have come to the conclusion it was probably something printed in haste and removed in haste.

In liked both Pat Quinn and Pat Burns as head coaches of the Toronto Maple Leafs. They were both taken far too soon.
