Seth Griffiths scored a beaut that is going to be in everyone's highlight reel for years to come. Watch for it on your news.

Nice tribute for Bobby Orr in tonight's NESN broadcast.

I guess we don't have many Bruins fans on this forum.

Here is a link to the Griffith goal:

Awesome work, there.

yeah, interesting goal, don't think he had too much planned in that moved, just hoping, but his
hopes came true, cool.

we are no longer calling it 'the kesler trade', it is the bonino trade', as he is the better player
between the two, we have now learned.

hope canucks come out flying for this game, and not a flat return home after beating anaheim, ottawa are
a good team this season, canucks must play their best to find a win today.

Ottawa Senators vs. Vancouver CanucksSENATORS (7-4-3) at CANUCKS (11-5-0)

TV: RDS, TSN5, SNP

Season series: The Vancouver Canucks and Ottawa Senators split a two-game series in 2013-14. The Senators beat the Canucks 4-2 in their most-recent game, the 2014 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic at BC Place in Vancouver on March 2.

Senators team scope: The Senators open a three-game road trip Tuesday having lost two straight at home, including a 5-3 decision to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Sunday, which was a make-up for the game that had been postponed due to the shootings in Ottawa last month. Ottawa did practice in Vancouver on Monday afternoon. Defenseman Marc Methot, who has not yet played this season with a back and hip injury did make the trip to Vancouver, however his status for Tuesday is uncertain. After breaking up the "Kid Line" of Mark Stone, Curtis Lazar and Mike Hoffman during the Senators' loss to Toronto, coach Paul MacLean kept the three apart during practice, putting Stone on the top line with Clarke MacArthur and Kyle Turris; Hoffman skated with Mika Zibanejad and Bobby Ryan. After visiting Vancouver, the Senators will finish their road trip with games at the Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames.

Canucks team scope: The Canucks enter Tuesday as one of the hottest teams in the League, having won seven of their past nine games, including an emotional win against the Anaheim Ducks and former teammate Ryan Kesler this past Sunday. That win, which concluded a four-game road trip, came when Nick Bonino, who was acquired in the Kesler trade this past summer, scored the lone goal in the shootout. "It's pretty well-written if it's a movie," Bonino said afterward. "I didn't really know what to do on [Ducks goalie Frederik Andersen]. I had an idea in my mind, and I stuck to it this time, and he was with me the whole way. It just snuck under his legs." As a result of that win, Vancouver has now moved within one point of Anaheim for first place in the Pacific Division.

I predict the Canucks will do well tonight, about the only reason I could see not to might be jet lag! But then Ottawa might be suffering from that too.

there was no time changes in their last two games when travelling, no jetlag, same time zone.

they have had a day in between, no excuses about fatigue or jet lag.

they have to do what sometimes seems very difficult, 'GET UP' for the game after a road trip that
was crucial to their standings in their division, and they could have a bit of a flat start, hope
not.

maybe bieksa needs to start the game like he did in anaheim, lol.

Since they've been living in the same time zone as the city of Vancouver for the past week I can't see that being much of a factor-you haven't flown much have you Dearie?

Lots.....Vancouver to Terrace, Comox to Port Hardy, Gold River to Tahsis, and all kinds of Helicopter trips on Vancouver Island! Probably adds up to hundreds of miles, but thankfully my flying days are over!

Never thought it was valid, Talloola, just thought it was something they could try on as an excuse if all else failed. Not everyone is astute like you and me!:)

Rangers > Pittsburgh 5-0

Lundqvist's 53d career shutout with 33 saves - complete victory by the Broadway Blues with five different scorers: Zuccarello, St Louis, Klein, Brassard, Nash. I believe Nash leads the NHL in scoring so far this season. So great to see/hear the Garden crowd so livened up.

i love it, and so glad to see nash doing so well again, great player, but has slipped a bit for a while,
maybe vineault has him fired up again.

a very good win, take a bit of arrogance out of that pittsburg team.

At least 3 of the final results so far could bode well for the Canucks! :)

Canucks assured of one point at least!

The better team won-a Classic Sedin ending.

Lots of improvement to come with the Canucks but I liked what I saw tonight from a number of players Matias being one.

On another note it's interesting how Karlsson for Ottawa reminds me of Daniel Alfredsson-not his style of play so much but because of his relentlessness.

that was a battle from the drop of the puck, although not always real good hockey by both teams,
sometimes they just kept taking it away from each other.

hard work by both teams. both goalies played well, miller gave up one rebound he didn't like.
andersson was busier than miller.

canucks battled and battled hard, a very close game, ottawa battled back, BUT the winning goal
was very very pretty, by guess who, henrik to daniel, then the perfect shot with very little
room past the goalie, to win the game.
definitely not a ho-hum type of win, it was touch and go thru the whole game.

GO CANUCKS GO

karlsson is a beautiful skater, moves the puck so well, but he does have a tendency to cough it up
in his own end, or rush with it and be out of position coming back.
