Under Dubbya Bush, the country went broke while the rich got richer: same game different actor.

I watched BBC news today and a reporter asked another, the USA economy is better than any other in the world, the stock market is thriving, and there has been more job expansion every month for many months - so why, she asked, didn't Democrats make this an issue in their campaigns?

Good question. But let's be honest - the Dems run dumb campaigns and always allow the Republicans to frame the issues in their favor. Can't honestly blame the GOP for doing that.

Cmon now. We've been hearing about these kick as ground games the Democrats have. Lol

The one election that I am keeping my eye on is Dem Colin Peterson vs Republican Westrom. The GOP spent a huge amount of outside money and engaged in a vicious attack campaign against Peterson but he has a 10% lead. He is a moderate Dem and is one of the hardest working pols in the House of Representatives.

The tightest race is Dem Rick Nolan vs billionaire Mills who also has gotten huge amount of money from the Koch brothers - this has been the one campaign where both sides swung for the fences. Too close to call at this point and we'll likely know in the morning.

And before that he beat Matt Bevin of the Tea Bagger party which spent a lot of money during their party's contest. Evidently, he is more popular than many believe.

An MSNBC commentator just blamed Obama and.... surprisingly Harry Reid. Surprisingly because he said he protected the Senate from taking key votes. Yeah no kidding...sitting on all of those House of Representatives bills while calling the House of Reps obstructionist for not rubber stamping his.

In truth, I have not heard from Reid in this campaign or at least his activity (if any) hasn't been reported in our local news. I think he has two more years in office but am not sure. But now if votes are not taken nobody can accuse him of obstructionism. We'll see how it all unfolds ...

Of course you haven't heard from Reid... He's a big reason the Dems are getting flushed.

Reid has no choice BUT to vote. He's the minority leader. Well HE can abstain but he no longer wields power over the Senate

Obama will now go into full dictator mode.

Quack...lame duck.

Seems like only yesterday the Dems were gloating. The GOP was on life support... They were finished. Lmao

I've been watching a couple of local channels and Reid's name hasn't been mentioned at all. One thing that has been said is that the Dem party just isn't unified enough and that this led to its downfall in the election. Republicans are far more unified and this team work has benefited them.

Hmmmmm.... I thought the Tea Party was ripping the GOP apart.

Why would Reid be mentioned? He was one of the major reasons for the Dems abysmal night.

But if he was, why wasn't his name mentioned except for one commentator on the Charlie Rose show?

Here is today's NY Times editorial on the election:

It shows that people were voting against Obama, not Reid. I have yet to find any article which proves your point that it was a vote against Reid. Perhaps there were some who voted for the GOP because they had him in mind but I cannot honestly find anything to support your view.

Having said all that, the problem was the failure of Democrats to embrace Obama who ended the recession, created jobs by the millions, stimulated Wall Street activity, and whose ACA has worked as I've shown in my posts such as this one:

Key Study On Obamacare 2015 Premium Rates Is Out And You Won't Believe What's Going To Happen - Forbes

While political slanting continues to dominate the public’s opinion on Obamacare, there is nothing like throwing a few facts into the mix to cause people to begin scratching their heads in confusion.

One of the best sources of actual facts is the annual study done by the McKinsey Center for U.S. Health System Reform.

Any self-respecting conservative knows all too well that McKinsey is immune from attack as an organization committed to presenting a left leaning political slant as it remains a bastion of business advice and a company that simply cannot be painted with a blue brush.

Clearly it is working but Democrats choose to remain silent against the onslaught of Republican attacks on it. It is that silence and passivity that is the real problem for the Dems.

I heard him being mentioned ALMOST as much as the President at being at fault on all the channels I was flipping through. FOX, MSNBC, ABC, CNN... I was going back and forth.

Sorry if you were glued to the local Minnesota channel.

Google Harry Reid Election 2014... Boom... you'll be able to choose.

Lovely! I do hope that that is the message. All the die hard libs are repeating that now... we did not support Obama or his policies enough. Or we did not go further left or progressive enough.

PLEASE... convince as many of your peeps to take this line and the GOP may just have a shot at the Presidency.
