Was listening to the radio this morning, Jean Charest had some predictions for the UK based on what happened in Quebec.
1- The Yes side will claim the No side only won by fear mongering, implying that the election was stolen.
2- Even if the UK government makes good on their promises, the separtists will not accept it.
3- The separtists will try for another referendum in 5-10 years.
You can't base predict what will happen in Scotland based on what happened in Quebec. Both are very different places with very different circumstances.
The YES side can claim what they want, but the people have made their choice. The NO side can easily claim that the YES side were a bunch of liars who tried to sell a false vision of an independent Scotland being a socialist paradise and a land of milk and honey, and that the canny Scots were just not stupid enough to fall for it.
As for there being another referendum soon, that is not going to happen. It has already been conceded that it will be many decades until there is even the chance of another referendum.
It just has to be accepted that the thuggish, bigoted Scots Nats LOST this referendum big time and it's now time to move on from it. You cannot hold a referendum, lose it, then not accept the defeat and force the people to have another referendum and make sure they vote the "right" way this time. That's what the EUSSR did to Ireland when the Irish voted AGAINST the Lisbon Treaty in a referendum but then the EUSSR forced the Irish to take the referendum again until they voted in favour of it.
The Scots Nats have lost and it's time to accept the defeat, move on, and stop whingeing about it.
Not only that, but focus is now shifting on England and how to solve the West Lothian Question and to give England devolution - like Scotland, Wales and NI - or even Home Rule.
The Scots have had their place in the sun and the government now needs to look at the needs of the English, Welsh and Northern Irish. The Scottish tail must stop wagging the UK dog.
Is the the Brustish way of holding free and fair elections? You seem to have missed it first time around or is it one of those 'inconvenient little details' that are forbidden subjects because it shows widespread corruption in the UK?

News: Vote Fraud in Scottish Referendum? - Wake Up From Your Slumber
In Glasgow, “Police are investigating ten cases of electoral fraud.”
Voters turned up at polling stations to find that people had already voted using their names.
Police officers have removed the ballot papers concerned.
The papers were from 10 different boxes across Glasgow, and not concentrated in one area.
I wonder if people would have been complaining that the Scottish referendum was "rigged" had the Scots voted for independence.
I have a feeling that there'd be no talk of a rigged referendum then.
Also, if it HAD been partly rigged in some council areas, we do not know who who rigged it. It could well have been the Scottish nationalists who had tried to rig it in THEIR favour.
Don't forget that the Scots Nats were up to all sorts of dirty tricks to try and get people to vote YES, resorting to bullying and intimidation, even physical assault. Some polling stations were daubed with grafitti saying "VOTE YES OR ELSE!". Some Scottish nationalists were even arrested for attacking people in polling booths just because those people were voting NO.
So you have no idea who it was who may have been rigging this election. If parts of it were rigged, I would put my bet on it being the Scots Nats.
