Using someone's track record against them is an attack? What a weird world this has turned into.

I find it quite amusing watching the spats between partisan sports fans. All they are doing is pulling their goalies while nothing about the structure of the game changes.

Yes and I remember Mulroney complained about that only to add more to it himself.

No Government should ever run up a debt like that, too bad we can't prosecute them after monumental gaffs like that.

Neither Trudeau nor Mulroney ran up the debt. The voters of the time were quite willing to artificially inflate their standard of living and sticking their children with the bill. Politicians of the day merely gave the voters what they wanted.

I agree with the direction the Liberals are taking on this issue.

There are circumstances where whips can be in order and every party has their own defining virtues.

I am glad to see that they will enforce the pro choice mandate as part of their brand. Most Liberal supporters would agree with being pro choice so there is little collateral damage.

I disagree. The only real issue surrounding the abortion debate is whether or not a fetus is a human and deserves rights. By stifling that discussion, Trudeau can't claim that he is protecting rights

Again, Conservatives demonstrating that they have nothing else in their bag except attack. Canadians are fed up with the politics of the petty and vindictive. That's why the attack ads aren't working.

You'll notice this forum mirrors the political system. Pettiness and vindictiveness are the standard from Conservative party supporters. I think it says a lot when a conservative minded person like me turns his back on right leaning parties. I'm still hoping that somebody can talk Preston Manning into coming back. I'm not holding my breath though

Especially the illusion that you are an observer and not a participant.

Exactly--Preston Manning was an optimist. he had a vision. he didn't cajole people into voting for him because the alternative was The End of he World as We Know It. He didn't infer his opponents were fags or dykes.

I wish. I don't support any party. I go by my MP choice because that is all I have. If we could vote for PM seperate of voting for MP, I'd be voting more than one party.

As far as I'm concerned Harper and his crew were extras from Revenge of the Nerds but the Nerds haven't really done anything to offend me. As far as the economy of the country and western investment goes I thank Harper for doing his part in continuing resource developement and the AP Gateway (pipelines included) that was spawned under the Liberals.

If Shiny gets in office none of the aspects of western economy and resource developememt will change. Oil sands won't be stymied and nor will pipeline projects be cancelled. I'll even go as far as saying Shiny will be ramping things up even more.

This isn't a two team game, it's merely the same team playing shirts and skins.

Happens all the time. That is what whipped votes are all about. Notice that often there are empty seats in the house or some members abstain on a vote. Those are basically te options if you dissagree with the party line but don't wish to loose your membership.

And it's complete B.S.

Trudeau's statement highlights the corruption of the Party system in Canada. In its origins and conception in the Mother of Parliaments in Britain.. Parties were formed of independent members.. voted in by their constituents on policy planks. The members were responsible for voting a Prime Minister and Cabinet from amongst their members.. AND.. the PM and his Cabinet were then responible to those members and ultimately the electorate.

The onset of Imperial Prime Ministers Office.. means the Party Leader now runs roughshod over the rights of individual members through the threat of failing to sign nomination papers.. or expulsion from the Caucus.. and thus the will of the electorate. It's a complete overturning of the way the Parliamentary system is supposed to work. And it leads to intellectual and moral mediocrities like Trudeau and Harper in control of the country.

Justin Trudeau hits back at 'old men' over abortion stance criticism - Politics - CBC News

Arrogant little pi$$ant.

I may wind up disliking this little pr ick more than I disliked his father......I wasn't sure that was possible.

At least his old man had a brain in his head.....even if he was wrong about almost everything.

The kid is such a narcissistic, arrogant, brain-dead little SOB.
Yeah, don't you just hate it when somebody suggests that what a woman you never met does with her body is none of your business?

She can do what ever she wants with her body, it's what she does with the Baby growing inside her that she shouldn't have the right to arbitrarily kill.

I'm inclined to agree although I would hope he has at least one redeeming quality. Definitely not P.M. material by any stretch!

I just hate when when some little dweeb declares rights exist when they do not, claims openess and tolerance while enforcing his own ignorant ideas on those surrounding him, and belittles those that oppose him.

Perhaps you should learn a little about the debate and the judicial decisions here in Canada before you decide to comment.

Abortion is NOT a right in Canada.

Wow Grievious was Avro. I totally missed that. Glad it wasn't my call, I'd be accused of bully tactics like with Doc. :)

Don't feel bad, so did I..........despite his childishness, hot and cold personality, and even the bouncing ball avatar.......OOPS!!

Neither is gun ownership. Don't stop you from barking about it all the livelong day, usually citing the Second Amendment, which don't apply in Canada at all.

Actually, to anyone that can read, gun ownership IS a right in Canada.....only it is a more limited right than the US second amendment.

The Charter Section 26.

The Bill of Rights of 1689, Article seven.

Actually, when Colpy talks about Gun rights in Canada, he cites other laws, not your 2nd amendment. He'll cite the 2nd amendment when the u.s. get's dragged in.

If this is an example of your judicial expertise, I feel sorry for your clients. You just can't seem to keep straight who said what about what.

They seem sufficiently content with my work to pay me quite handsomely. So I don't see much point in caring about your damnfool opinion. It's free, and worth every penny.
