Is there actually any evidence coming in? The silence I hear is deafening unless I am missing it. I don't count the victim's shoplifting as relivent as cigars are not a weapon.

Duh. The evidence is a Video.

The officer rolls up onto guys playing in the streets, a radio broadcast comes over the Police band saying a an armed robbery has accord and a description of the individuals.

So the narrative has now changed, the officer is facing individuals who could have a gun and involved with an armed robbery.

What do you do??

The video above says the rest. He was a thug.

Sorry posted wrong video.. here is the correct one, offered by the police.

Yet no gun was visible. And more importantly, who categorized shoplifting cigars as armed robbery?

Oh looking here.... Surveillance Shows Michael Brown Suspected In 'Strong Arm' Robbery before he is shot by a police officer.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=M13HOAnuSGY

...oh well another thug off the street.. good riddance ...

"This by no means justifies what happened to Brown," writes Talking Points Memo's Josh Marshall. "But it seems to bring home in an entirely new way just how unprepared and frankly clueless the Ferguson police department is that they're only managing to mention this part of the story after days of war-zoning the city streets."

BBC News - A new, complicated chapter opens in Ferguson

First of all he was a nice young man and we should all remember him for that
is the prevailing opinion. However his memory will be forever linked to madness
in the streets. If more people were armed there would be more deaths mostly
civilians as the police are trained to use their.
Perhaps the rioters are right the kid didn't have to die, perhaps it was a correct
shoot. We are being prevent from finding out the truth because of the actions of
the the people wanting the truth. Ask yourself, would you go out there and do the
investigative science with rioters at the scene destroying the evidence?
When someone is shot it is not license to go into the streets fighting and stealing.
It is said through this death family is being forever punished and denied something
they can never get back. We the rioters by destroying the property of small business
people are also destroying something many will never get back like They're livelihood.
When someone is shot it is good cause for the neighborhood to act like criminals
what a concept

HUH?? I worked at a Fina Gas Station long ago.. (remember those in Canada? Now PetroCan)

Division St., Arlington, TX

Strong arm robbery, or smash and grab.. Almost every weekend we had one.. Called the police. But the minute an individuals says; "I Have a Gun!" or Knife! Regardless if I see it or not, I have to report it as an armed robbery.

The police then respond accordingly.

Also, Arlington PD, ain't take'in any sh*t!!

society is evolving and from all appearances whites will be the minority by the end of the century - I won't be around to see it but today is a good time for society to treat everyone alike and realize that the laws (including those which guarantee equal protection) are intended to be applied to everyone on an equal basis

Is that Equal Protection under the law or from the law?

In those pictures Michael Brown seems to have been an exceptionally large and powerful man. 6'4 almost 300 lbs? The way he appears to manhandle that poor shopkeeper. That's one crime. The police response caused many more.

Imagine what could have happened:

Michael Brown and his friend rob a store, assault the shopkeeper.
The police officer confronts him and arrests him.
Conviction is likely. The shopkeeper gets justice.

Victim count - 1 shopkeeper

But instead this happened:

Michael Brown and his friend rob a store, assault the shopkeeper.
The police officer confronts him and kills him.
The police close ranks to protect their own and get their stories straight. This appears to be another incident of police brutality targeting African-Americans. In the ensuing confusion, protests and riots break out demanding justice not just for Michael Brown but for a whole community abused by a racist police force. The police impose a military-level crack down on an American city. Reporters are harassed and arrested.

Victim count - 1 shopkeeper; 1 person killed; that person's family; an entire community beaten down by police; businesses in the community looted and vandalized; the free press; libertarians, teabaggers and the right-wing nuts who sat in their rascals inhaling cheetos while actual government tyranny took place making them look like total cowards and hypocrites no will ever take seriously again when they take about defending liberty.

At least Rand Paul came out against it.

So far, the only credible unbiased and not self serving witness we have is that store camera..

Oh yeah! Good point. They should put those cameras everywhere.
