I think you'd be better off asking someone that specifically. I have no idea why you give a **** about what Canadians give a **** about, and I'm even less sure about why Canadians as a group give a **** about something like the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Suffice it to say that this is a forum, and some nuttier squirrels will simply chatter on about anything that stays at the top of the forum homepage, whether they give a **** or not.
Don't kid yourself Ton, some of the nuttier squirrels around here simply live for these specific threads. There's a bizarre hatred that revolves around this specific conflict more than any other. And some are quite vicious about it.
Why care if innocent people, including children, are being massacred?

Don't be so dramatic. If you think you can speak for a country of 35 million...well you're going to need a lot of space to write, and a lot of caveats.

The strikes by Israel's military on UN buildings in Gaza "do not appear to be accidental", the UN human rights chief Navi Pillay has said.
Ms Pillay also called for international law with "appropriate investigation, prosecution and punishment" to be applied to the incidents.
The Israeli military have said they will investigate the incidents but that they have a policy of not targeting civilians.
Since 8 July, 1,390 Palestinians have been killed - most of them civilians - according to the Gaza Health Ministry.
Some 58 Israelis have been killed, of which 56 were soldiers and two civilians.
It sounds more and more like they're targeting civilians.....
