Hi all,

I'm English, and I will be visiting Montréal very soon. There is a girl that I really like there who is Québecoise. It's hard for me to tell at this stage whether she sees me as just a friend (as she has a lot of male friends, and is good to all of them) or whether she is considering the possibility of more between us. Sometimes I feel she rethinks things in practical terms, as I haven't fully moved to Quebec yet. But sometimes I feel there could be something special between us, but even if not, I feel very close to this one as a friend, regardless.

What I wanted to ask you guys was the cultural differences with women in Québec. Are there some things that I should be aware of? From having friends over there, the people of Quebec seem really friendly and openminded, I can't wait to visit.
What I'd like to ask though is whether women from Quebec are anything like their french counterparts? as they normally like to play hard to get, or pretend they're not interested in a man.

Kind regards

The french are very different compared to the Quebecois... that is like comparing Americans with the English.
Other than that you are on your own ,all women are different

Not all French-Canadian women act the same way. If she says she isn't interested, you should respect her.
Oh of course, I would respect her. I'd be worried about ruining what I have with this one, in fact.

Yes, there are hehe. But there won't be much point considering I won't be here much longer anyway.

FYI-I grew up on the Quebec border and know that of which I speak.

Big freaking deal. You have a singular skill for taking a simple association and turning into "expert knowledge". But you're a legend only in your own mind.

And what you said was rude and ignorant. Act like an adult, not some adolescent miscreant.

A certain type of female Quebecoise love Englishmen. They are usually found sitting on bar stools at the start of happy hour.

Lots of women love accents....mix a sexy accent with a few drinks and sometimes the cloth magically fall off...I don't think it would be a Quebecoise thing...just a human thing.

Well, I must say, the women in Québec are very special indeed. They sure don't grow them like that over here. I'm just an englishman wanting to be passionate <3
